A small intimate museum. They do change the exhibts often so it stays interesting. THere is also a day that they waive the fee to get in so everyone can enjoy the museum! The mummys are amazing! A must see in Albany!

What a lovely museum! We were particularly enthralled by the Hudson River artists room, but the temporary exhibits were delightful compelling. The history rooms were interesting, too. So glad the museum was open on Monday.

As a former Albany resident, I always enjoyed visits to the Albany Institute. It’s still one of my favorite museums. The history of the city and the region come to life in a very special way here.

Stopped by with a friend from out of town on the Saturday around noon. We found the exhibit of the work of William B Schade to be very enjoyable. It was somewhat whimsical but an exhibit I would recommend.
