The beach is very easy to reach, especially for the visitors of the resorts. But also for everyone else is the arrival by car or bus problem-free, because a bus-stop and enough parking facilities are in the immediate vicinity.
The Baie Lazare Beach is a kilometer-long, crescent-shaped, dreamlike bay in the southwest of Mahé. In 1742, according to the legend, a sailor and captain named Lazare Picault landed on Mahé, giving the Baie Lazare its name.
The very popular, crescent-shaped bay offers a really beautiful backdrop - turquoise blue water, white sand and granite rocks in all possible forms create a picture book beach, which is unlike any other.
Anyone who reaches the Anse Lazare is certainly equally enthusiastic. The long, white sand beach radiates with the turquoise blue water, and the huge coconut trees are beautifully integrated into the overall picture. The bay is a dream for photographers and for those who want to be there because the motif selection is really very large .. The water is not particularly deep and the beach is not always the best place for swimming. For a relaxed bathing and snorkeling fun it is enough, however, and thanks to the great waves, this bay is also popular with surfers. There is a lot of what Baie Lazare Beach has to offer, and the story around the first discovery by the explorer Lazare Picault make it a bit magical. By the way, locals have once found a buried pirate treasure, which can be seen today in the national museum.

The beach is a little rocky, okay the rocks are huge like boulders but they are all on the sides, as far as the beach is concerned its spotlessly clean and the water is crystal clear.

You can spend as much time here as you want as there won't be anyone to disturb you.

We chose to get married in Seychelles not just because there are no formalities and nonsense running around but also because it's just so beautiful and peaceful. Our Wedding organizers chose Baie Lazare for the occasion and we absolutely loved it
The beach is pristine and peaceful. It is quite a drive away from Victoria and that's the reason why it's never crowded.
It offers a natural shade under the trees and the giant rocks in both ends are a great background for the pictures.
You can get there either by bus, taxi or rent a car.
There are some nice resorts around so you can either carry some snacks and water or just explore the restaurants around this area.

Nice enough beach, with fairly hard-packed sand. The beach gradient is so shallow you can walk out very far into the sea. Makes a change from some of the other beaches.

One of my favourite beach on MAHE, lots of large granite rocks adorn the sandy beach, very picturesque and a tranquil atmosphere during weekdays, can be crowded on Sundays.

An excellent beach for swimming located in a remote area, a vehicle is required.
It has a beautiful sandy beach, but you need aqua shoes. Not only there, beaches in Mahe are fantastic; you only need to protect your feet.

Whether you want to swim, surf, snorkel, suntan, sight-see or get married, this is the beach for every possible activity.

We came to this beach three times: the first time was for our wedding, where the blue water, white sand and huge stone boulders made for a wonderful backdrop for our photos. After our wedding day we came back to relive the magic just as a storm was blowing in. The rain and wind stirred the water up quite a bit, creating great waves for the surfers lower down the beach. On our last day in Mahe, we came back for one more dip when the water was flat calm and perfect for snorkelling. We saw loads of cute and curious fish and got great panorama shots from the top of the rocks.

100% worth visiting: loads of parking by car and a bus stop right at the beach.

Baie Lazare Beach is beautiful and if you like to swim it´s perfect. It´s quite shallow and almost no waves. As it´s so shallow the water was really warm! There were not many people at the beach when I visited it, very calm and quiet. The beach is easily to reach. If you come by car there are good parking places. The local bus stops next to the beach. I think this beach also is perfect for families with children.

Plenty of stones in the beach, not sure if maybe to clean to improve a bit but otherwise the water is clean and still nice to walk along the shore
