The views from The Sea of Galilee are emotional and beautiful! You can ride out in a boat similar to what was used in Biblical times and see many of the historical sites that surround it.

We were at several sites around the lake and we then went on the water. It was raining on and off but we still enjoyed our visit. Sunset is a great time to visit, as views are stunning. We never found many crowds which was...More

It only take one hour from Tiberias to the Sea of Galilee Boat... it’s so calm and peaceful. You can see the mountainside of Golan and Tiberias on the other side.

None of us managed to walk on the water but we all enjoyed the beautiful sea that played such an important role in Biblical (and modern) times.

We stayed at a kibbutz and look forward to a swim but the Sea o Galilee was filled with mud and hardly worth a swim. Better to visit the museum with the boat that was raised from the sea of galilee and learn about the...More

Seeing the Sea of Galilee is a wonderful experience. It is one of the places mentioned in the Bible that is never in doubt as to actual location. To visit, see and stand on the same shores as Jesus and the disciples did all those...More

Sea of Galilee is the lowest freshwater lake on Earth. Lots of Jesus ministry happened at the Sea of Galilee. When visiting the Sea of Galilee a boat ride is a must. Our tour group hopped on the boat and had a nice ride. Some...More

I was just there 2 weeks ago...I would stay in Tiberias although it doesn't seem like much else to see other than the Sea. Haifa was about 1 hour 15 minutes to Sea of Galilee Nazareth seemed to be about 15-20 minutes from... More

Hi. If you are driving you can get to Caesarea from there- but we went everywhere by coach, so it was easy. I don't think that you would need to spend the night in Caesarea. Hope that helps.

I was there Oct '16 at the end of a hot summer. Many 'no swimming' signs, many people ignoring them. I didn't swim myself, but the water was a very pleasant temp. There were designated swimming places at popular beaches.
