The Arbel hike is a challenging hike that requires climbing down rocks, rock ladders, and scaling some challenging sections. The views were well worth the hike and the effort. This is a must-see/do area of Tiberias! Be sure to come prepared with good hiking shoes, plenty of water, and a sense of adventure.

The Arbel is a steep cliff requiring climbing down ladders. You can visit ancient dwellings carved into the cliff and walk down to the local spring or continue back up the circular path -- to the car. There is also an ancient synagogue nearby which is worth a visit.

Black trail is simple for all walkers and provides view of summit. The red trail has 2 spots (one descent, one ascent) which require one to use installed metal hand-holds. Was reasonably easy for anyone with at least a moderate physical capability. Worth the extra time to do.

Next time we'll go back there for a long hiking. Families could enjoy as well. Terrific view of Kineret - Sea of Galilee. Strongly recommended. Best... More

A beautiful place with great views and a sad history. Great for hikes, too. Best time of the day for the panorama is in the afternoon, but be sure not to get there too late, as the government employees running the place go home early!

I consider myself fairly athletic and was excited to spend a scenic afternoon at Arbel taking in the beautiful vistas and enjoying the leisurely walking trails I was promised. My word, I have not been this scared in a long time. As we proceeded along the marked path, the trails became increasingly precipitous and challenging with little to anything preventing... More

We had less than two hours to walk the paths to the viewpoints, we would have liked to have done more. There's a lot of history here, and at the end of February 2017, tons of wildflowers too. Beautiful!!!

This is my husband's favorite site in all of Israel - and we go there 3 or 4 times a year. Magnificent view.
