This church is hidden away off one of the streets in the souk. It was open to everyone and is a beautiful stone building.

I guess this place has great historical importance, but as far as the architecture goes, there are far more impressive places in Nazareth.

The site of a medieval synagogue. Simple stone building, which is lovely in it's own way. Though in truth it didn't hold my attention or interest as the other sites in Nazareth.

This was the high of my day in Nazareth but not because of the building itself but the history related to Jesus. Expect a small church that is quiet. A good place for reading, prayer, reflection or journaling. We arrived the doors were shut so we opened the doors and went in. No one was there. About 50 mins later... More

Walking in the old city market you can enter this site with a Synagogue from the middle ages, and next to it a church

Working your way through the souk, you find this hidden gem. It's wonder is in its simplicity and quiet grace in the midst of the town.

Our pilgrimage group attended mass in the church next to the old synagogue. The Eastern Orthodox Catholic Church is filled with beautiful icons. There is no air conditioning, and it was very hot inside. After mass, we went into the synagogue and did a bible study on Luke 4:16-21 and the Jubilee year. Something you can't put into words, to... It is questionable if the location is the correct one, but the name is certainly interesting, the place maybe not the original, but stands in a place that maybe the original, nobody can be sure...but just is worth the visit if you are in the market.

Seems the place is a tourist attraction because of the story around it; interesting, for sure, and it is good for the Nazareth market that is hurting and needs visitors

The synagogue church is located in the heart of the old city and is only worth a visit if you are already planning on walking the old city. It's simple and questionable whether or not Jesus was ever there.
