This church is connected to the church of the annunciation and supposedly is at the site where Joseph had his carpentry shop. If true it was in a cave in the hills here.

By visiting the Anunciation church , you have the opportunity to visit as well the St Joseph church . It is like hitting 2 birds in one stone in terms of travel highlight. The church has shown to have carpentry markers in the lower level...More

Got the opportunity to visit this church in Nazareth, which is at a walking distance from the Church of the Annunciation. Inside this church there is a stairway which descends to a crypt and further steps lead to a square basin or pit. Catholic tradition...More

Very close to the Church of the Annunciation, this church is built over the ruins of the home of the Holy Family. It is interesting to get a perspective of how close Joseph and Mary lived to each other.

I loved this humble church of St. Joseph. The area in the basement may or may not be Joseph’s workshop, and that adds to the story and likability of this site in holy history.

Next to to the Basilica of Annunciation, this is a smaller church with a well in the catacombs. It is saying that the church is built over the carpentry work shop though there is no hard evidence to support. But the place is still inspiring...More

Tradition says that the Church of St Joseph is built over the carpentry workshop of the husband of the Virgin Mary. While there is no "hard" evidence to support the claim, it is still inspiring, with a series of caves underneath, that have been used...More

Close to the basilica is this smaller church with a well in the catacombs. When we were there chanting was going on which made it particularly magical

This is a must place to see for catholics who have a devotion to the spouse of the Virgin Mary. Very serene place and you can see the ruins at the basement of the church.

St. Joseph is included in the Basilica compound so can visit both. Under both churches you can see the remnants of old Nazareth
