The Negev museum, changing exhibitions of modern art while in the other building you can enjoy an exhibition of islamic art. A beautiful place to visit and for artists to exhibit.

It took my husband and I two trips into the old part of Be'er Sheva to actually get inside (it was closed on Sunday), but it was worth a visit. The museum consists of two buildings: each you can visit separately, or buy a ticket to visit together. The Museum of Art had a rotating exhibit of modern art. This... More

I only explored the Middle Eastern culture section of this museum but it was beautiful!! Lovely courtyard and even though its only one main room, considering the fairly cheap ticket, it was an excellent main exhibit. Definitely worth a visit if you have a quiet afternoon or morning to spend around the Old City.

The Negev Museum of Art is located in the Old City of Beer Sheva, in a charming historic building that was used in the past as home to the Turkish governor, during the Ottoman reign in Israel. The structure was built in 1906 next to the grand mosque and other governmental buildings. During the British mandate the building was used... More

Found this via a Bedouin friendly Israeli website - Bedouin experience. Sleeping on mats with the family and eating with them. Great host - and a western toilet.

Exhibits on 2 floors by 4 different artists on the theme "Without Flour" (Without flour there is no Torah, that is, you have to provide material support for spiritual/religious work). Two of the exhibits featured short films. I probably spent less than an hour there and I'm glad I went, though art is probably a matter of individual taste

This litle museum is lovely. Great examples of Arab world rugs... but, when I went, the Israeli side was closed...so sad.

We were looking for the artist house which is free, and somehow ended up here. Displays what they call modern art - tissue paper cut in to balls and called art. Extremely poor display of anything. The synagogue across the way was more interesting. Don't go unless you want to waster 70 Shekles.

If you want to know the Negev, visit this place. A store house of knowledge both ancient and recent, it gives a clear picture of the region, it's arts, crafts and history. Building itself itself is a historical place, this place is a jewel in the crown in the old city and an attraction to be in old city. One... More

The museum is not too big with mainly 2 exhebishions. One is paintings and the other is old rugs. Ok but not too much. The main issue is the old Mosque that the museum is inside. This place is from the times that the Turkish ruled this town, it ended in world war 1... Nice, specially the surround ...
