Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

I'm a tour operator that sell Sumbawa Island tour package and Moyo Island of course!

This island is very beauty.

For you who love diving, you can try dive in Brang Sedo, Angle Reef (Takat Sagele) and Tanjung Menangis.

If you love snorkeling, you can try in Poto Jarum, Takat Sagele, Tanjung Pasir and Ai Manis.

However, if you want to go to the diving or snorkeling spot, the only way is carter a boat!

Public boat can't take you there. Public boat only for direct from Labuan Aji (main village in Moyo) to main land (Sumbawa).

If you want carter a boat, the price is:
- IDR 1.500.000 - 2.000.000 for motor boat
- IDR 2.500.000 for speed boat

If you want use the public boat the price is IDR 50.000 per person (local) and IDR 75.000 - 100.000 per person (foreign).

If you already in Labuan Aji, this is some spot that you can visit with motorbike:
- Diwu Mbai Waterfall (rent bike price is IDR 50.000 per person)
- Mata Jitu Waterfall (rent bike IDR 100.000). Don't forget to visit Lady Pool too, it's only 10 minutes walk from Mata Jitu Waterfall.
- Crocodile Head Beach (rent bike IDR 50.000 per person). It's a sunset spot.

All price for rent bike above, include a motorcycle and the driver. However, if you stay here couple days and want to less spend money, try to negotiate with the locals. Ask the price if you only need the motorbike but not for the driver. You can drive it self.

There is some accomodation. The "Cheapest" one is Amanwana Resort (Around USD 1000 per night ++). Hahaha.

Or you can try homestay or bungalow in Labuan Aji Village. The price start from IDR 250.000 per room per night til IDR 1.500.000 per room per night.

Visited Moyo by launch from Kencana Beach - 45 - 50 minute trip. Spent a day walking through the jungle and swimming at two waterfalls. Lots of fun. Rope swings. Really clean too. The islanders do a great job ensuring that the area is rubbish free. It's rare to find tourist spots in such pristine condition. At the end of the day had a few drinks in the bar at Sunset Moyo Bungalows which was a fine way to pull down the curtain. The bungalows look great. I would definitely like to stay there overnight.

Power only from 6pm to 6am, no transport other than Gojeck and really hard to find places to eat. It is expensive to get to the island by boat which is about AUD$160 each way. There is one waterfall worth visiting and a couple of snorkeling/dive spots but really not worth all the trouble.

A island must visit if already in Sumbawa. Can take a boat from the main land to go to Moyo Island. There are only few luxury cottages in this islands. This islands and stayed by Lady D, Mick Jagger, Beckham and many celebrities over the world. A island where you can really relax and ease your mind. Sorround by seas and you can see the coral and many types of fish in the seas as the water is very clear. The food served in the rwsurant also good. The staff are very friendly and Co operative. You can also do Islands hoping from MOYO Island.

Moyo Island is located close to Sumbawa. To go there you’ve to cross by public boat from Labuan Badas (local tourist one way IDR 50k, foreigners IDR 100k). The island is famous because of its waterfall called Mata Jitu which has been visited by Lady Diana. You can visit Mata Jitu and Dwi Mba’i waterfall with ojek cost of IDR 100K. There are options of accommodation with Amanwana at the top since it’s a group of Aman. However I was staying in Iman Jaya Homestay owned by local, Pak Beta (he also owns public boat) with cost of IDR 250K including breakfast. The homestay is clean, cheap with private bathroom and owner is very friendly. Food provided tasted good. The island itself is unique and surrounded by beautiful beaches like Poto Jarum, Crocodile Head. You can also rent a boat to go to Satonda Island and visit The famous salty lake.

Gorgeous, peaceful island...great for snorkelling and diving enthusiasts. You fly there on a sea plane, an experience in itself. This island only has one holiday operator..AMAN......

We are here on the island of Moyo. To get here, you have to pass by Lombok. Arrived in Sumbawa at the airport, you have to travel by boat to reach the island. We took the public boat, but the noise is deafening. And despite the low cost, I wouldn't do it again. The private boat costs around 100 euros. We are at the Blueemocean resort. The place is very beautiful and the position to the west, gives every evening magnificent sunsets. Here there is the sea, a beautiful coral reef directly from the beach and a long deserted beach where you can walk. If I think of crowded beaches, here is an unknown concept. The managers are Italian Renato and Indonesiana Liza. They are beautiful people, so available and attentive, with whom it is also nice to chat. The resort has a diving center. Good food. The excursions that can be done from here are the large and small waterfalls, the island of Satonda and snorkeling from the boat. Until mass tourism arrives here, it is worth not to waste a few days enjoying nature, silence, the sea, sunsets and a magnificent view of the sky with the Milky Way at night.
