Gili T - rustic with options

Horse and carts, hiring a bicycle, night food markets, bar options (though I'm a bit wary of obviously refilled alcohol bottles with different coloured liquids).

We went to Gilli Air for the day. The place is lovely and well worth a visit. In fact we said thar we will go back and stay a few nights in the future. However, be careful as a tourist. Trust no one as everyone is trying to scam you. We paid for a driver from our resort (who we... More

With a reputation as a divers heaven I thought we were in for a real treat, but sad to say the reef seems to be dying. Gili T -some angel fish and we saw 2 turtles in the distance which was nice; but I suspect the turtles are hanging around the boats as they get fed by them and not... More

The Gili islands are a must see of Indonesia. One of the best beaches surrounding you, I suggest getting a bike and ride around the island, it only takes 20 min. Some pre planning is needed for accommodation but if you walk around you are able to fine some available hotels but it's not guaranteed. The only activity you should... More

If you like diving, snorkeling, Gili islands are for you an ideal destination. Gili trawangan is crowdy, noisy and bars and restaurants are too much! Gili meno is the opposite. It is quiet too much! We were so disappointed that we avoid to go to Gili Air. Beaches are nice. You have anyway many things to do there but do... More

My friends and I came here for snorkelling at a few spots and lunch at Gilli Trawangan. The cleanliness of the beach could improve. The corals and fishes were beautiful, but fall short of Perhentian Islands as the waters were murkier (I am not sure if it was because of the bad weather) and it was so crowded in the... More

We spent two nights on each of the islands. The purpose of our visit was snorkeling and maybe diving. Transportation on all islands by foot, bike or rickshaw. Starting in Gili Trawangan - island is busy, as you most likely heard before "happy" mushrooms are offered widely as well as other staff. Restaurants, warungs, shops, ATMs, exchange offices, Dive clubs... More

I would give the island a 4 rating but locals and visitors do not care about the island. It starts to get dirty everywhere. Lot's of plastic on the beach and between the cost lines. Just around the hotels is clean. In general is very beautiful island and friendly people. Please don't expect sandy beaches. Just very less spots are... More

I traveled to the Gilis with my wife - We chartered a speed boat to get there. The journey was approximately 40 minutes. I was expecting to see some nice corals (by snorkeling) and clean beach but ended up being disappointed! The corals were dead and I only see plastic bags and rubbish by the beach. My snorkeling experience was... More
