Mayura Water Palace and Pura Meru have 2 entries on tripadvisor but apparently they are the same monument. So I would not go the same length as repeating the review I wrote for Pura Meru. The water palace with its surrounding idols and sculptures rather depict a multicultural society where all religions are respected and consulted and therefore, makes Lombok... More

Not much to see here and this place is badly maintained. The enter fee was 20k for each person when I visited. There are not much tourist and more locals fishing. I think if only the garden is more well maintained, this would be a better attraction. This place has potential if taken care more.

Was very disappointed in this temple, we had a guide who was very monotoned in his speech as if he was just reciting it all out of a book, no passion no feeling.... after visiting other temples in Bali and Thailand which were magnificent and had heaps of history and actually felt very spiritual this was like a walk in... The temple was built in the 1700s but has a very modern look to it. After a lot of probing from our guide, he reluctantly admitted that there had been several refurbishments to the complex and that some of the brickwork had been replaced The temple complex is keen to highlight the unity of the religions of Lombok (which is... Public space is very rare and/or non existent in cities like Mataram, so I thought this would be a good place to do some writing and relaxing on a nice day. But, 10k Rp ticket or the alternative mandatory 50k "donation" make this a bit of a miss due to the lack of maintenance on the grounds. I mean relative... More

Located in downtown of Kota Mataram Lombok. It was a palace of Karangasem kingdom in Lombok when they occupied Lombok long time ago. Now is more organize and maintaining well than before. This place has swimming pool too. And mangosteen three along the side of water palace. also something mistic about this palace believe by poeple a special by Hindus.

The site is poorly maintained despite visitors having to pay an entrance fee. While it has historical significance to the island, there is not much in it. The guide is a real put-off. He constantly talks about making a donation (no receipt) and at the end of it asked for tips for himself and 'extorted' a donation for the temple,... More

Unless you are completely out of your options and bored out of your mind, or else you can just let this one pass. You won't miss much. A hindu structure that is worn and torn with a big dirty pool in the middle. That is literally it. The ticket will set you back $1 USD so it is not that... More
