Down county (?) road B-006 (Acequia Madre del Llano Rd), the road turns gravel. Turn right on B-007 and it begins a steep decline into the Rio Grande valley. The river is crossed on the one-lane John Dunn bridge. Probably best avoided on rainy/snowy days....More

Check out the history of this bridge and Rio Grande River crossing on the internet first. Then go just north of Taos toward Arroyo Honda, NM and you will see signs on the highway # 522 directing you to this great spot. The road gets...More

If you're afraid of heights, I wouldn't recommend walking the bridge. But visiting the location is a must if you're in the area. The gorge is quite something and can best be seen from the bridge.

Not much to say, it's a bridge with cool views and a hot spring in the general area that you can walk down to. Saw a few people fishing in the area, so I assume it is a decent spot for that

Good fishing. Good beach across the bridge, good hot springs across the bridge. It is a very special spot in Taos County. Follow NM 522 to B-007 turn left and follow the signs.

We originally read the history of this area and the bridge in New Mexico magazine a couple of years ago. This was our second trip to this bridge and well worth the rough road to get there. It is only about 15 minutes from the...More
