My Trip Jogjakarta to Surabaya

I was used Argo Wilis from Jogjakarta to Surabaya and takes approx 3,5 hours journey. It is frist time for me but enjoy the trip. The station is really surprising me since the last was 25 years ago and not good on that time. It is European Class Standard Station.

A heaven for streetphotographer enthusiast

I didn't enter the station and only see from the front gate. From a glance, this place is good for street photography as people from different background come and go every day. The seller and informal worker with different ages and stories are also there. A shot from these people brings many stories to tell. The old architecture will strengthen the picture .

Trains and more trains

It’s a train station, but it’s clean and efficient and you get to where you want to go. I find the trains nice to ride, lots of legroom and you get to see the country as you go

Add more fast food restaurant please

They have quite a lot of food stall that selling traditional food of Surabaya but for me and some of my friend who frequently visit this place, we need more fast food lol. Because it's easier to carry and to eat in train. This station is clean and even it look like traditional, not modern station, I like the ambience and the hospitality of their officer.

One of the Crowded Train Station in Surabaya

This train station was so crowded every day. This station is divided by 2 section, the old building and the new building (Indonesian people called it). That building will determine your boarding train (So, you need to check it first). But, don't worry if you are on the wrong section just call the security and they will help you. Have a nice travel!

Clean and easy to drop off at the new side

The station has 2 entrance building. The new side and old side. It is better to drop off at the new side entrance as they have an inside drop off area.
The old side entrance does not have a specific drop off area but exactly on the side of the street

Near central station

Gubeng is where you must halt to depart to cities like Madiun, Jember, and Malang. It is clean and equipped with minimarket for you to buy what you need.

Arrived here after a long trip from Banyuwangi, easy to get into and out of , station is very clean and arrives into the heart of Surabaya.
A bit of madness upon exiting with many drivers bidding for your business, easy to get a cab...go for a Bluebird.
