This was my first retreat with Von. I didn't really know what to expect. Every day was better than the last. I just wanted more and more. The venue at Sammas Cottages was divine, everything that Von organised was just right for my growth. The last day was mind blowing. I would recommend this Retreat to anyone who wants to find their true self. This trip was amazing. I had attended this retreat previously & had no idea that the bar could be raised this high. Von had everything perfectly scheduled & balanced to allow us time for self integration & reflection. The generous spirits that we met on the retreat where so warm and welcomed our group into their world. We had some fantastic experiences, participated in ceremonies & saw Mother Nature at it's best. This is my second Connect to Soul retreat with Von. November was hot and muggy, but the brief thunderstorms were amazing and brought the cool breezes. So worthwhile travelling at this time of year. First I will let you know that these retreats are also a delicious foodie adventure and caters to all culinary needs. Even though this was my second retreat I got to experience new venues, so many of which had lovely views, and all had traditional Balinese service with a smile. It is the simple things that make this retreat so special. The care that is taken to individualize our gift bags (full of great stuff). It is the time Von freely gives to each person, to answer questions, teach and meet each person's individual specific needs, that make this particular retreat so unique and memorable. I like a straight talker with a sense of humour and Von is just that. As such I continued my learning experience from my previous Connect to Soul retreat. I particularly enjoyed the small group dynamic and the fun we experienced. Our group had some very very funny moments. I know if you do this tour, your group will too. The tour has some busy days, but you always have down time. The busy days always involve a learning experience, and for me these often contained light-bulb moments. I want to learn to connect better to spirit. For anyone considering doing this retreat. Just do it. You will not be disappointed. And if none of your friends want to go, it wont matter because you meet amazing people with a similar purpose. Finally, Soma's cottages is a great place to stay, but more importantly the staff are amazing. I spent 10 days with my daughter Victoria and three other lovely women with Von at Sama's Cottages, Ubud on an amazing voyage to my soul. What a different trip this retreat turned out to be. I came with a different purpose this year which I feel I fulfilled. During these 10 days I gained a deeper inner connection through Von's deep guided meditations, the beautiful spiritual people who blessed us, and the prayers and blessing ritual experiences the Balinese people are so willing to share, I felt a deeper awakening to my purpose. Each place or temple we visited the energy was sacred, uplifting and cleansing. It was an honour to share this experience with my daughter, to watch her own growth in spirit. I highly recommend the Connect to Soul retreats this is my second retreat held at the peaceful Sama's Cottages.
