The dance is good but a little bit long and repetitive, the people playing seems a little bit tired, doesn't seems like they want to be there. Recomend if you don't have anything else to do but it's not a life changing experience.

The Legong and Barong dance takes place in a beautiful home in Ubud. Admission is 25000 IDR. You are given a theater script so that you understand the story which is really easy to follow. Live traditional music played in the background coupled with a...More

We went to see the Legong & Barong Dance at Pura Kloncing Padang Tegal Kaja, and the storytelling, choreography and music was mesmerising - put a huge smile on my face and loved every minute!! This performance is on every Thursday at 7.30pm. Definitely not...More

We came to the location (across the street from Ubud Palace) half an hour before the show, and got seats in the third row. Although the stage is raised above the seating area, it was difficult to find an unobstructed view even from the third...More

Great experience. Beautiful colours. Incredible costumes. The hour went by very fast! Would have appreciated it more if we were given a summary of the event beforehand.

This was such a wonderful experience, the dancing so highly intriguing, that I cannot wait to return to Bali for a repeat performance. It's more than a dance - expect a live open air cultural show that gives a peek into the Balinese practices that...More

A live open air cultural show that gives a peek into the Balinese practices that is evident in abundance on this island. To appreciate and to understand the show, I read the script as the show played out in music, dance and in the Indonesian...More

Loved seeing the story about the Barong, especially because his story seems to be so prominent in Ubud. Enjoyed watching the cultural dance. This is the second we have seen since in Bali and we hope to see more!
