This is one of the Hindu temples along Jalan Raya Ubud that is used for Balinese dance performances during evenings and can also be visited during they for those interested to explore the grounds of local temples. Opening hours are 9am to 5pm daily. Entry (20K IDR) and includes use of a sarong which the attendant will secure to you prior to being allowed to enter the temple grounds.
You will see delicately carved entry gate and inner temple structures. There are statues of interesting if not sinister looking appearance of Rangda, the Demon Queen. The interior shrines feature delicate carvings. Overall, this is an attractive and photogenic temple worth 10-15 minutes to explore while sightseeing around Ubud.

Our hotel recommended this show to us because we were interested in Balinese dance shows. On the street Jl. Ubud, there are several temples, including covered ones, that offer shows. We were at Pura Dalem on Friday and saw the Kacek & Firedamce show. A shandy costs 40k. Bags are not checked. We were here at 6.30pm and had wonderful seats. So if you don't want to sit on the side or on the floor, you should get here early enough. Unfortunately, it got very cold at some point because it started to rain (not drizzle) and we had nothing with us to protect ourselves. Added to that was the wind because we were sitting right at the top. We were soaking wet and freezing. But because we still had to go home on the scooter, we went during a short break in the rain (10 minutes before the end of the show). Of course, you could have bought a disposable rain cape for 50k, but that's not for us. We weren't prepared for it to rain so hard for so long. We were so annoyed. What a pity. We chose the wrong day. The show itself was really great though. I liked the men's choir the most. The costumes are beautiful. I don't want to give too much away. But you should always be prepared for rain and cold in the evening.

This is the most accessible and beautiful temple in Ubud, which I think is overlooked by many. It was only 20k entrance, which includes being provided with a sarong to cover western clothing. The temple was beautifully serene with only a couple of other visitors when I attended after lunch. Highly recommend.

This temple is one of the most beautiful temples in Bali. We went around 12:30 pm and the temple was just closing. We didn't give any fee to enter. You have to wear a sarong to enter.
The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The entire complex is very calm and gives very peaceful vibes. The entrance gate is very beautiful.
The priest told us that people visit here when they are disturbed and find peace here.

visited this temple three weeks ago when i had my regular visit to ubud in june.i attended a traditional dance performance here.actually,i did watch more than two times of kecak dance here.this time the performance i watched is legong and barong dance. the skills of dancers are great, their performance is beautiful.the temple actually is a dead temple, but it is natural to watch performance here. the temple itself worth a visit, but that time already late, cant see anything, will come here again in the morning one day.

Bali is a land of temples, temples, temples, but this one is a Pura Dalem, which means "death temple". So it's different than most of the other's you will come across.
The Balinese believe in a balance of good and evil. And that you can't truly appreciate the good, without also recognizing the evil.
Here you will find statues of many many demons representing this "evil". Most notably, Rangda, the demon queen. She has long fangs, dirty dreadlocked hair, a sagging bosom, and is often displayed holding a baby (her favorite thing to eat!).
This temple is located in central Ubud. So if you are staying in the area, it is easy to walk to. It's on the western end of the main road, Jl. Raya Ubud. Across the street from Lazy Cats Cafe.
The temple gates are set a bit back from the road, so you may miss it if you aren't looking for it. But once there, the beautiful staircase leading up to them will call your name.
Entrance is 10,000 IDR and includes sarong rental. The grounds are not huge, so you can see it all in about 20-30 minutes.
I believe that they also have traditional dance performances at night, but we did not attend one.
This place is definitely worth a visit in my opinion, especially if you are already in the area from doing one of the popular rice field walks or the Campuhan Ridge walk.

Tuesday 17th September we were out sightseeing and exploring the sights of Ubud.
This Hindu Temple with its impressive entrance is situated in the main street in Ubud
The building was closed as we passed, so we could not go in, however, we did stop for a few minutes to admire it's impressive exterior.
There were notices outside the Temple advertising a dance performance of the Keack & Fire Dance.
From memory the tickets were around 100.000 rupiah, roughly ÂŁ6.
We just enjoyed spending a few moments to admire the outside of another wonderful structure in Ubud

The temple is located on the Main Street of Ubud, (Jl Raya Ubud), at about 600/700 meters from the center (Ubud Palace), not far from Campuhan Ridge Walk (bridge/ Pura Gunug Lebah and it is one of the most beautiful and special temple seen.
Don’t miss, also, the most beautiful and spectacular Legong dance in Ubud, with very professional dancers, every Tuesday, 7,30 pm (100.000 IDR/ pers), by Sekaa Gong Karyasa.
And at about 200 m from the temple, you can find Murni’s Warung (our preferred place to eat in Ubud) and Blanco Museum.
