Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We hated it. It smells really bad, very cramped, pushy types and if someone walks with you to show you the way, you (supposedly) have to pay them... We were outside again in 10 minutes. It is better to go there with a local or your driver, then they will leave you more alone.

we paid a visit on a Friday evening arriving just after 6.40pm.
apart from a few food stalls there was an empty courtyard. There were no fresh produce or other stalls of interest there. the very few nearby stalls in the area were nothing more you see elsewhere.
my wife speaks Indonesian and asked local driver if there was specific night where it's busier or for locals. he indicated is usually the same every night.
it was disappointing visit even with our expectations set for comparable we markets we have been in Ubud.
I wouldn't make a special effort like we did; similar if not better good available elsewhere drop in if nearby.

We found this souvenir market along Sindhu Beach in Sanur, just inside the main promenade and off the beach. There are probably 30-40 small shops setup selling all manner of souvenirs, clothing, accessories and artworks. Fun to look around a bit, a good place to pick up a souvenir or two. Most shops didn't have prices posted so be ready to haggle a bit and like all souvenir markets in Asia, look around first as most places carry more or less the same or similar items.

The market was closed, but we had come in the early evening for dinner at the food stalls.
There were not a large number of vendors, but enough to have a good variety of offerings. Seating at long communal tables with plastic stools.
The martabak was spectacularly good, and it was interesting to watch the skill of the stall holder as he chopped, mixed, fried, flipped, and sliced.
It was also fun to watch the sate/satay seller turning the skewers and fanning the coals. The chicken variety were terrific, the lamb ones were quite chewy. The sauce was yummy.
The stall with offerings of everything "goreng"; potato, banana, pineapple, spring rolls, and other "mysteries" was doing good trade too. My husband got a bag to take back to the hotel.
Cheap, cheerful, and delicious.

A great place to visit to get out of the restaurant-after-restaurant-cycle.
No fuss night time food market that has all the usual stalls... satays, soups, nasi goreng, mee goreng etc... great value and is somewhere we always return back to.
Tried some mixed satays but have to say the lamb skewers were pretty dodgy.
Soups looked amazing but couldn't get a seat throughout the night.
Absolute highlight was a chocolate pancake thingy that was less than AU$1

I had fun trying local food.
It's a small market, so you can walk around in no time, but it's just the right size to try street food. If there were a lot of shops, you'd get lost and it would take a long time.
I liked it so much that I went there twice, once to eat there and once to get takeout. The bakso and martabak are musts. Both were delicious, of course.
You can also choose and buy fried food at the shop, and I was surprised at how cheap it was.
I recommend you to try this rare experience.

All the years that we stayed at Griya Santrian in Sanur, Sindhu Market was always our go-to place when we wanted to eat 'authentic' Indonesian food. We've never been disappointed with choice, offer and price. In May of this year, restricted in the passed due to the previous COVID-19 problems, we could finally travel to Sanur again and after being on the road for a whole day we hurried to Sindhu market. Our disappointment was what we found there, much less warungs, small selection of dishes and long waiting times to get a table and dishes. Sindhu market was a closed chapter for us, a pity because we have always eaten well and affordable there.

Tasty local indonesian food on a hawkers market or in bahasa ‘kaki - lima’, 5 legs …
A market with a price list! Come here already for years… but still as good as…
Always a good vibe here and a mix of both tourists as locals…
Opens every day of the year from 18 - 22 hrs, but don’t come too late… or they are sold out!!

Be prepared for an onslaught of aggressive stall owners trying to get you to buy from them. One woman shouted at us for buying something from the stall next door and not from her, and proceeded to follow us and stand and stare until I had to shout at her to go away and a local came and did the same. There is a fixed price shop called Monica shop, which was a better experience with no aggressive behaviour. There are nice places on the beach for cold drinks.

Fun. Excellent and cheap street food. Busy, but comfortably so. Part of the Sanur township in Bali. We bought enough food for two, admittedly small eaters for the grand total of less than a dollar.

There are many shops around Sanur however it is not the best place to purchase Airpod. Suggest to purchase in the Airport for Tax Free item, having said this Indonesia airport is not the best price so you might need to possibly look at HK Airport or Singapore airport

Written 29 May 2018
Which Celebration day is it?...if it’s Galungan or Kuningan day I doubt it , these are the 2nd biggest days behind Nyepi Day , ask a local at your accommodation, they will have a good idea....

Can anyone tell me if there is much vegetarian food in the Night Market?
Written 15 May 2018
There are plenty of vegetarian and halal choices. Generally you can see what they are offering and if unsure, just ask for no meat, they are happy to help out.
