A great secluded beach! The loungers were comfortable, the water was warm, the facilities were rustic but adequate. It was so nice to have a small private area to relax in. Restaurant produced a delicious lunch. Bring your own towel. Don’t rely on their shower facility—it is not private at all. Sure enjoyed the afternoon there. Not a beautiful Bali beach, but a great place to relax between Benoa and Uluwatu.

This beach is cozy and very quiet. Only a few restaurants and a nice hotel on the beach. If you want to relax then spend the entire day here.

To go to this beach from our hotel, we used a cab that cost us ten dollars. It was absolutely worth it! The beach has calm, mild water, pristine white sand, sunbathing chairs with umbrellas, and a reasonably priced restaurant. What a wonderful way to end our time off in Bali with this day. Be extremely careful if you decide to use a taxi, as all we did was tell the driver that we wanted to go to Geger Beach, and he brought us to this cliff that overlooked yet another incredibly quiet and deserted beach. It was high tide at the time, and there was no sand on the beach, and the waves were extremely turbulent. The locals call this beach Geger Beach, although it is also known as Pura Geger, maybe from the temple that is located nearby. Geger Beach is also known as Pura Geger. After consulting Google Maps, our taxi driver profusely apologized, and he then drove us to the other beach where we were supposed to be. He wanted to be responsible for paying the 10,000 won entrance fee (yes, there is a fee of 10,000 won per participant). We offered him a tip to cover the cost of the return booking, which we also made for him. We had a wonderful day swimming at Geger Beach, and the beach itself was really stunning. Both the spring rolls and the margarita pizza that were served in the modest cafe were delicious.

Lovely quiet beach. Don’t understand the the negative comments about a 5k IDR parking fee. That’s 25 cents - where in the world do you get to park all day for that??!
Clear water good for swimming and snorkelling.

Long white sand beach. Water is relatively shallow and the shore is protected. Restaurants are nearby and the beach is a short walk from many hotels. BE AWARE there is an entrance fee.

Beg to differ from the reviews. The sand was harsh & sand paper like. Our feet sunk into the sand as if it were quicksand which made it difficult to walk.

Of course the water was lovely, but not that different or worth traveling all the way from Seminyak to Nusa Dua.

I entered from the southern end and was required to pay 5k entry fee. I don't know what Nusa Dua Beach Grill think of customers having to pay 5k back down the road to patronise their restaurant.
I could see the sand was thick and soft but fortunately there was a paved pathway along the front of Mulia hotel (very fancy) probably the length of what is considered Geger beach. A wide sandy beach with plenty of space. Good for swimming.

I beg to differ on the positive reviews. We are staying at a lovely private villa in Seminyak with a large pool but wanted the pristine beach experience. We searched and close to Seminyak we found Nusa Dua. We’d stayed at a villa there 3 years ago, beside the St Regis and the sand and water were lovely but this time we were looking for a public beach.

Our driver suggested Geger public beach. So here’s the review.

The sand was gold, far from white. It was thick, gummy and harsh like sand paper. Our feet sunk in up to our ankles walking to the water. And entering the water, it was like getting sucked into quicksand.

The ‘oceans motion’ might have been better based on weather, etc but it was quite still. There were fishing boats roughly 20 metres from entering the water. We noticed very few people in the water.

You can rent lounge chairs from the locals on the beach, with an umbrella between each 2. But they’re plastic covered cushions so you’d better have something to put between them and you. They are also packed close together.

Hate to be negative so will say beach servers were very pleasant, hard working people, as most of the Balinese are. But this is no where near the pleasant beach experience described in most reviews.

Seminyak beach around the Sugarsand Beach Club, part of the Sixty Six Hotel is clean, soft sand, great waves but not too much to handle, solid sand bottom. You can rent loungers close by and with beach hotels on one side, you have plenty of options. Just to sat The Sugarsand is lovely with great food and drinks!

We paid $10 in a taxi to visit this beach from our hotel. It was worth it! Clear warm water, clean white sand, lounging chairs with umbrellas and a cheap cafe. What a great last day for our holiday in Bali. Do be careful if getting a taxi though, we just told the driver Geger Beach and he took us to this cliff which overlooked another very small secluded beach. At the time it was high tide and there was no sand with super rough waves. This is what the locals call Geger Beach but it is also known as Pura Geger, maybe after the temple which is somewhere there. Luckily our taxi driver was very apologetic and after I looked on Google maps he took us to the other beach. He wanted to bear the cost of entering the beach (Yes there is a charge of 10k per person). We booked him for the return and gave him tip to cover it.
The actual Geger Beach was gorgeous and we had a lovely time in the water. The spring rolls and margarita pizza from the little cafe were yummy.
