Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I went to Dreamland about 15 years ago, glassy sea, some warung, golden beach, many surfers and nature lovers, a beautiful symbiosis.
Return to Dreamland, Ecotourisms, Resorts, Villas, Music from Accommodations, Trash on the Beach, Uncivilized Tourists, instead of Warung Mega Bars, a kind of Landlocked River that is the Resort Rainwater Drainage that in case of flood flows into the sea... this is the typical demonstration of how to destroy a dream corner (Dreamland...) for the bleak economic interest and wild investment management. The emblem is the Kapla Resort, 5 stars of reinforced concrete unnecessarily innervated between the rock and what remained of this coastal strip, what about its glass pyramid that stands out among the concrete beams, dubious functionality, dubious architectural taste. If you turn your back on these nefarious things (they are still building on the coast...) you can admire a beautiful sea, great energy waves and a beautiful sunset. After this phase of mysticism of nature, you turn around and take the way back between the garbage left by the uncivilized on the beach and the smell of the drain. What a shame! If you like to be in this atmosphere this is your beach, if you are looking for other stay away, there are more beautiful places!

The four star rating for this beach is only valid for surfers who will clearly have an awesome time I’d they come at the right time. However if you’re not a surfer, or you’re a surfer who wants to hang in a non-skanky environment, then go somewhere else. Your intro to the beach will be the derelict carpark and then the half empty shopping strip alongside the stagnant filthy river that no doubt empties over the beach and into the ocean after heavy rainfall. Along with abandoned buildings, rubbish and a restaurant with a menu straight out of the early 90s there’s literally nothing here to make this place a success. Pretty sad experience.

Same for us as per johns previous review. Made the way down to Dreamland beach and locals not letting us pass unless we pay the ‘entrance fee.’ Responded with beach access is free but there was a language barrier. In the end we just paid the 5000 each which works out about 50p in U.K. currency so not worth the hassle. Think the local authorities need to sort this out.

At high tide the waves are strong and it is hard to surf for a beginner. At low tide it's good to learn and you can get a local instructor there. Don't expect any great details from him, but he'll tell you which wave to catch and point out the rocks in the water. The sunsets are beautiful. No calm swimming here. There's one warung and sunbeds with umbrellas you can rent. Great spots for pictures.

South Bali is all about beach hopping. U can cover the beaches on d west in a day and on the east/south the next day. Each of them 15 mins away from each other. Make sure to visit the popular ones atleast. Dreamland is one of them. Picturesque and beautiful

There is no admission here (anymore?) and the descent is also manageable. The beach can be divided into three parts. In the middle you arrive, here is all the infrastructure. On the right, under the Jumeirah Hotel, it is much more relaxed. The waves are good for surfers, at low tide you can also swim at the front. If you go all the way to the left, there are some rocks and here you should not bathe. The cliff is quite nice. Of course, the beach is suitable for great sunsets!

More of a place where locals hang out to surf. The waves are too big and rocxky, and not a good place for swimming especially for amateur swimmers. Good place to watch the sunset.

Dreamland Beach is likely the best beach in Bali with fine sand and beautiful scenery. It's a good place to sun, surf, relax, and get an inexpensive massage by the beach.

Following a walk along the beach and dipping into the water, at a cost of $25, I had a wonderful one-hour massage at the beach. It was nice hearing the ocean waves during the energizing massage.
