It isn't a picturesque area, but needs to be seen by any Aussie visiting. Given the number of causlities in a smal space makes you understand how difficult this site was when the bombing occurred. Unfortunately, there are a few locals hassling tourists just outside the site with "free gifts" and trying to sell things. As a place of mourning... More

Near alot of shady clubs. Go during Day. Not at Night. Be careful. Say no to drugs, and watch out for traffic.

We stood for few minutes... More

Just a pity this Monument isn't on the actual site across the road. We visited one night and with all the noise of the vehicles as you neared the monument peoples voices became quite. Quite eerie.

It's not untill you see he list of names on this monument 'that you realize just how devastating this was .Apart from the loss of 88 Australians so many Ballinese 'Indonesians 'and others from around the globe .Then there was the loss of life at Jimbaran sea front venues 'to add to the tragedy

Just take a minute to visit the site to spare a thought for the 200+ individuals who died in the bombings on this spot. Easy to find at the end of "Poppies" and no more than 10 minutes walk from Kuta Beach.
