    Nice Beach
A breathtaking beach. Because Bali is such a large island, visitors should be prepared for long journeys that may involve heavy traffic. It is strongly recommended that you find lodging in the area. Although we preferred doublesix beach the most, Kuta is also a nice place to hang out.

    Kuta beach tips
This is a beautiful beach for adults, children and surfers. You can sit at a table on the beach and just take it In while having a coconut or Bintang. These tables and sun lounges belong to the seller directly above them under the trees. When you sit down you will be approached by the seller to order (do so directly). A simple small bottle of water will suffice but if you don’t buy from them you will be asked for a fee to sit there. This beach stretches for kilometres through different suburbs. Pedlars can drive you crazy if you don’t want to buy dismiss them promptly or you will be swarmed by others. No need to be rude just keep saying no and better not to make eye contact with them when they are walking past. The stall holders who own the tables and sun lounges are reasonably priced.

    Design your own playbook
New esplanade walk at back of beach makes a fine exercise path at sunrise. Learnt hard way over past visits to have personal rules … don’t dawdle or sit on beach as become swarmed by hawkers and sellers … from the tame coconut to illegal drugs. Sunset worth a quick visit or alternatively find a beach hotel roof bar to hide from maddening action below.

    relaxed and joyful vibes
Last week, i had four days trip to bali,i came to kuta beach again,it is not the first time. but this time,i tried to stay here more longer time. i rented a chair, a sunshed, and got a fresh coconut, then sitting on the chair, drinking coconut water, waiting for the sunset. luckily, that day the weather is good, can see the sunset, though not that great, but still a beautiful one. the beach has relaxed and joyful vibes. if you stay around this area, don't forget to come here, you might love it.

    Nice sunset
This beach is very close to the international airport. Nice in the evening to watch sunset. There are cafes and bar along the beach where you can enjoy resort feeling. When it comes to swimming, I do not think this is the best. It is not that clean there.

Not very enjoyable on the day.
My review covers the beach between Beachwalk Mall and the Tsunami Shelter, hence only 3*. Therre weren't many tourists on the beach, probably the reason many vendors and stallholders were rather aggressive. The area adjacent the pathway had not been cleared of rubbish in most sections, Plastic and other objects were evident on the sand between the water and vendors area. Hopefully, the 'I Love Bali' donation from all tourists will be applied to help improve this amenity and others.

    Beautiful chaos
Been travelling to Bali since I was a little girl so grew up well aware of the beautiful chaos that is Kuta beach. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing peaceful beach day you will not find it at Kuta beach. If you are looking for good vibes, a couple of bevs, sunshine, 10000 thing to do and locals trying to sell you things every 5 minutes then head on down. Can’t beat a sunset drinking session with friends. Kids always have a great time running around and the locals are always so kind and happy.. plenty have become friends. Head to the Locool for a drink. Look for the big yellow flag directly in front of the Pullman.

    Beautiful sunset
We headed to the beach at night to watch sunset! Grabbed a couple of cold Bintangs and enjoyed the light show as the beach was starting to quieten down for the day. It was just a lovely chilled end to our day

First Experience at Kuta Beach Bali
Kuta Beach Bali is very busy with visits from foreign tourists and local tourists. This beach displays the beauty of the wide Kuta beach with fine beach sand, so it is not surprising that many tourists visit it. Kuta Beach is also equipped with various supporting facilities, ranging from clean toilets, tents, accommodation, restaurants, to shopping centers around the beach. The view there is extraordinary, especially when sunset arrives.

Usually in rainy season (Dec/Jan/Feb) I would tell you to skip kuta/legian/seminyak beach. With the rains and the currents all sorts of rubbish is pushed from the sea and farther inland to the beachfronts and despite all of the local efforts it is not enough to clean the mountains of rubbish washed there every day.

But this January 2020, the rainy season is late and hasn’t quite started yet, so the beaches are looking as magnificent as it is possible for an asian country.

The sunsets are always awesome and the popular beach attracts loads of locals and other “local” Indonesian/Asians country guests that lap up the atmosphere and are particularly jolly (without alcohol) and often want to have pictures taken with friendly looking tourists particularly families with children.

We walk along the beach even if when there is rubbish there but it is infinitely more pleasant when its clean(ish).

My sunset beach experience in Kuta was completely ruined by the local sellers. I had 3 women harassing me to buy buy buy… I gave in & had my nails painted, the lady was angry at the mere $5 I paid her (50,000RP) I reminded her I didn’t want it done.
During the painting of nails, I tried to enjoy my drink, I was pushing one lady off me trying to massage my shoulders & another knelt down beside me ‘tapping’ me the whole time asking me to decide what I wanted to buy. I left annoyed & didn’t buy anything, she was asking very high prices.
Didn’t see the sunset & will avoid the beach from now on.
As for the street stores, owners have become more pushy & yes prices have had to increase.
I wanted to shop more but found it exhausting this time.

My husband and I spent 8 days in Kuta, Bali and stayed at a hotel opposite Kuta Beach (over the road). We had the best sunset views of Kuta Beach and water the warmest we've ever experienced (we travelled quite a lot and visited many countries but this beach wins hands down - though not the cleanest😊)! Don't be over friendly with the people walking up to you when you try to relax selling things because they can be a bit of a nuisance and spoil the atmosphere... Be polite but make them understand you're need a bit of time to yourself or you'll be inundated with sellers😅. The area around Kuta Beach is vibrant, busy and awesome🎉. We will definitely return 👍🎉

The beach is sandy, makes it the great place to learn surfing. The bike parking area near the entrance is for a fee, so many park just beside the street till the Beachwalk mall or on the beach itself.

Unfortunately it has also disadvantages. One of them are people constantly and continuously offering their products and services. It is just too many of them easily may make you tired and wanna escape the place.

It is dirty, but cleaner thanKedonganan beach. Plus, this beach may give you the most unsafe feeling right in the beginning. Too many ppl offering drugs at the entrance listing some of the names I haven’t even heard about. Hope this part will change one day.

To be able to just relax with family and friends as the day ends is one of the reasons we love coming to the beach.

We parked ourselves (6 of us) at Bar 7, Randit Bar. Much has changed since COVID. Many have lost their space and they are trying to re-build. Everyone seemed so grateful to have us back visiting.

Randit provided great service and while we would have not previously paid for a massage on the beach, we just did. It was more expensive that going into a massage place but they have had it tough and we only just arrived. It was a lovely sunset and we had fun to end our 1st night back in Bali.

There are comments regarding the rubbish.....we would like to say that compared to our last visit 3 years ago, we have noticed less rubbish and more bins available.

We shall be back :)

We enjoyed the beach a lot, even though it's really hot and you get tanned or sun-burnt even under an umbrella.
The ocean is amazing and the water is almost hot at shore.
The sunset is like an amazing painting and would definitely recommend catching one.

Having visited Kuta for the last 4 years I have to say this was the cleanest I have seen the beach.
During my month long stay there were days when quite a bit of rubbish was washing up but it appears to cleaned up with a tractor daily.
Quite busy with locals trying to sell anything from cold drinks to blowpipes but no real problem. Great for learning to surf and on good days suitable for the more experienced surfer. Fantastic sunsets which is the busiest time of day on the beach, a must see event.

Kuta is a famous beach, so you should go at least once. Sure, there are plenty of vendors trying to sell you all kinds of stuff, but if you can haggle effectively you can rent boogie boards or surf boards for cheap. We didn't stay in Kuta, just came to visit the beach for a few hours, which I think is the best way to do it instead of planning a trip around being in Kuta just for the beach. Good for a short visit once, but we probably won't go again since we've done it now.

Although I have been travelling to Bali for more than half a lifetime, I have never grown tired of watching the sun set over Kuta Beach. I have often pondered, why is this so? Is there some magic in the air at the end of the day that intoxicates the mind. Is it that sudden dropping into the ocean at the appointed time that still catches you by surprise. Is it the way that people stop what they are doing and turn towards the horizon and the silence that descends as we all anticipate the final moment of the day. Is it the colours in the sky that remind us that we are mere mortals but there is a Universe up there. Is it true that people travel from across the world to catch this moment, here, in Bali. Perhaps it is all of those things. It is all true, Kuta Beach Sunsets are famous and we never tire of waiting for them.

This is the most popular beach in the area and does have some things going for it – for example the Sun sets. For these, get yourself down around 6 pm and grab a couple of cold beers from there very many vendors. These guys are great fun who seem to teach surfing in the day and serve Bintang at night.

It will be the coldest beer you get in Bali as they have them in iceboxes.

Other than that, it gets very busy and there is an awful lot happening down there. Photos with snakes, a rabbit running around and musicians of little talent are just a few of the things you can expect to see.

Unfortunately, it is very dirty by the sea line. I know they are doing their best to try and keep it clean but it look like a war zone at times when we were there.

Needs to be better.
