About
Enjoy walking around and get along with a thousand birds and its habitat. The Park is divided into seven regions that recreate the natural habitats of our birds, complete with indigenous plant life. You can travel from the deep misty jungle of Sumatra to Far East Indonesia and Papua to discover the native birds from these remote regions. Venture to other tropical continents too. See the South American exotics such as the Golden Macaw and the Congo Grey Parrot from the African Savannah. Enter into their real living environment and see how they play with their colony, how they breed, and feel their happiness. You'll love them. Be entertained with our various bird shows and feeding activities and also many special programs made only for you. Take photos from lots of incredible scenes and taste the richness of local Balinese culinary and international cuisine from our fantastic menus in the restaurant.

- Rikke RoseBali, Indonesia26 contributionsWould highly recommendWe went here without any expectations, but we were pleasantly surprised! The animals were nicely taken care of, and we enjoyed the shows so much. Really worth a visit! I don’t support places with animals normally but here they have a good life and is well cared for.Visited September 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 29 September 2023
- bgtocaVancouver, Canada129 contributionsBird Lovers' heavenBali Bird Park, located close to Ubud, is a place to learn about, enjoy, and appreciate gorgeous exotic birds. It's fun for people of all ages, not just kids. If you've always wanted to see the birds of paradise, this is the place for you. The admission ticket for 2 adults was around IDR 700 000, so it's pretty expensive but worth it. Please note that if you would like to visit the Reptile Park right next door, you need a separate ticket for that. The bird park has beautifully landscaped greenery with some free range birds like peacocks, swans, and others whose name I don't know. Most birds, like the endangered Bali starling are in caged enclosures. There is a large enclosed free-range area, where the birds can roam freely. In this area we saw the stunning Victorian Crowned pigeon, many small parrots, and other small birds, a white peacock etc. We got to feed the parrots with the help of the staff, which was really fun. Other cool birds that you will see here are some of Papua New Guinea's birds of paradise (Lesser bird of paradise, Red bird of paradise, Victorian crowned pigeon, and King bird of paradise are the ones I am aware of). You may not be able to spot all of these glorious birds, however, as they may be hiding in the greenery of their enclosure when its really hot out. There is a cool traditional Balinese house, which houses a few species of owls. Other birds that I saw were South American parrots, cockatoos, flamingoes, ibises, egrets, raptors, grey crowned cranes, golden pheasants, Australian pelicans, and many more. I loved the collection of hornbills. Such incredible birds. You can have professional photos taken of you with parrots with no obligation to buy. There are educational bird shows and kids' activities like egg painting. There is an on site restaurant to cool off as there is not much shade as you walk through the park. Bathrooms are clean and well maintained. There is a gift shop so you can get some nice souvenirs to remember your visit. We spent around 3.5 hrs. here, including time to have lunch. Definitely worth a visit!Visited October 2023Written 13 October 2023
- Vlad GBucharest, Romania107 contributionsFriday at Bali Bird ParkOur visit to Bali Bird Park was an enchanting and immersive experience. The park offers a unique opportunity to see a variety of birds, including many colorful parrots, flying freely in their natural habitat. This setting allowed us to closely observe and appreciate these beautiful creatures. It was a delightful way to spend time together, surrounded by the vibrancy and life of the bird world. The park's layout and the freedom given to the birds made our visit truly memorable. Highly recommended for anyone looking to connect with nature and enjoy a peaceful yet engaging experience.Visited January 2024Travelled with familyWritten 11 January 2024
- harryzacOldham, United Kingdom488 contributionsTotally wonderful and worthwhile experienceIt’s definitely worth the trip. You can stay all day as there are timed and themed shows throughout the day, but realistically three hours will get you through everything. All of the shows, apart from the Komodo Dragon (obviously), are hands on. The walkways through the aviaries get you up high with the most beautiful birds. The cafes are reasonably priced and the smoothies are delicious. There are lots of discount ticket sites…most of them not viable but do persevere there is always one that works. Headout worked for me. Also, be aware there’s an Indonesian resident price and a much more expensive tourist price…however, it’s definitely worth it and helping their conservation work.Visited January 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 15 January 2024
- Anthony SSeaside, California3 contributionsQuite fantastic for all age groups. One of the best experiences we had in Bali. Beautiful tropical landscaped grounds with meandering paths woven through it. They provide Visitor interactive ''shows'' around every corner, excellent and verry entertaining. The birds of flight show is fantastic! Huge walk thru Avery with waterscapes, arial walkways and tree houses that exabit owls and other birds inside. A "Must Do'' !! The Reptile Park just next door is also very good!! All this for a fraction of the blighted Night Safari that was so disappointing.Visited February 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 16 March 2024

Yes I am a bird lover but this park is brilliant . You can see the high standard of the whole park and also their focus on breading. There was no overcrowding of birds and the free flight show and Lorikeet feeding and other bird interactions where great. This is a great medium sized bird park and I would highly recommend that you visit when in Bali.

Almost shocking to walk in and see a 4 foot tall pelican walking toward you. A lot of the birds are free to roam. Colorful birds in a great display with a walking tour of the place with fountains and streams. Some bird shows as well. Appropriate for all ages.

If you love animals, this is a worthwhile visit. If you love birds, this is a can't miss activity. We really loved seeing rare birds we've only seen on tv shows. This was one of the more expensive things we did in Bali, but considered it a highlight.
Tip: Be sure to catch any bird shows. They are really well done with an opportunity to see some of the birds fly.

Really horrible experience to see birds in tiny cages with no foliage. Also the park has exotic birds with their wings and claws pinned down with metal clips so that visitors can pose and show off with the birds. Little to promote the "conservation" the bird park claims. The only area worth a see was the Papua Aviary which had ample space and birds roaming freely.

We went to the Courtyard Nusa Dua who collab with Bali Bird Park last month. I came with my uncle and his 2 kids. The kids really enjoyed play there. There are many kinds of birds of any species. Besides Increase knowledge for the children, children can add insight into play with the color and canvas and also they can express their hobbies. The place is comfortable safe for families and this event placed beside the pool of this resort, the pool really amazing. We love to be there. We hope Courtyard Nusa Dua could collaboration again with Bali Bird Park. Happy holidays

An amazing place to learn about birds and for humans to interact with them in a sanctuary that is professionally operated. Being a person who generally does no support animals being kept in captivity to entertain humans, I left feeling the birds were being incredibly well looked after and cared for. There was a genuine love for the birds by all staff. Great place to visit.

We went here for a school field trip. We were introduced to one of the programmes called "Bird Keeper for a day". The Bali Bird team was very cooperative in tailoring their program and rundown to our needs. As a result, we learned a lot and had great fun that day.
We learned how to prepare bird food, and see how the beaks adapt to the food as we learned in class, we cleaned the exhibits and fed the birds. We learned about some nocturnal birds, saw the nesting area and learned many more from the keeper's explanations.
We also learned that the Bali Bird Park is involved in conservation by breeding the birds, taking good care of them and doing some releases.
We definitely will work together and try to get involved more in their conservation program.

How much camera fees? can we cover within 2 hours this place?
Written 5 August 2019
Hi, you can do this in 2 hours but it is so enjoyable you wished you had stayed more. When I was there I did not see a professional photographer to take my photo. And if there was I would say yes there is a fee

Hi,
I have few questions.
1. if we take the lunch package; are the options for vegetarian food available? if yes, is it a good spread or limited to 1-2 items?
2. For the pick up, will it be a shared pickup by bus? I have a family of 7. Can your tour accommodate all of us together?
Written 15 November 2018
Hi Harishee, we ate there, we had complimentary spring rolls but cannot remember if they are vegetarian or not. As for pick up arrangements you would need to email them.
