The Sulawesi Street in Denpasar is the textile commercial center of Bali. Along the road you will find plenty of textile shops of imaginable fabric and design. You must compare first prices in the shops or boutique in other places and then bargain hard here, otherwise you pay high prices.

While walking from Museum Bali, I came across this attraction.Mannequins are wearing beautiful kebayas! Fabrics are very colorful. Both sides of the street are vendors selling fabrics and items related to sewing. I took some pictures and proceeded with my planned walk.

I quilt, and would highly recommend the following shops on this street. The first two shops had batiks that I see in quilt shops for a fraction of the price. The third shop was willing to sell traditional Bali batik 2metre lengths for less than other shops and I ended up buying lots: 'Anis' I think number 29, 'Amy &... More

Located in the old Denpasar neighbourhood this street has a few dozen stores specialized in fabrics only. Go there if you need cheap but quality fabrics.

Other than the different blends of fabric and laces etc that takes up most of the street, it's number 19 (opposite the parking area) that I return to time and time again for 100% cotton batik! It is heaven to the quilter! Honestly, I don't go to Bali ever, without a stop to this store. If you cannot find something... More

Yes the fabric at these markets is really cheap and has lots of variety but you need to watch them when they cut your fabric. Because they WILL rip you off! Especially the nicer one which is in indoor & air-conditioned, just be wary.

Looking for thousands of varieties of textile? This is where you should go to. To go here, you need to park your vehicle in the local market in front of it, Pasar Badung. Usually very crowded at day. Don't forget to bargain for the best price.

It's not easy to get there when you carry vehicle to park. The road is short, around 200m long, and one-way only. This zone sells fabric, clothes, carpet, praying mat, etc in the same kinds. At a glance, their motifs were various, and all looks nice.
