Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I have been to Bali 7 times and each time I go to Ramayana this year I got sneakers for $5 they last longer than the $30 at bigW I always stock up on energizer batteries soooooo cheap toiletries belts ties hair ties I have a daughter who goes through them. Make up I use Revlon at least half the price of Perth if not more and a little cheaper than kuta I agree the clothing is not for the average size it is on the small side. Not a problem for children though. Taxi from the dynasty south kuta is about $5.

I've been travelling to Bali for many years and always visit the Ramayana store in Denpasar.
The first thing we do is hit the juice store on the ground floor, refreshed, the shopping can start.
Depending on what you want there is plenty of good merchandise to buy. This store has the biggest shoe department I've ever seen and they cater well for men. I always buy my leather saddles usually two-three pairs, at least 50% cheaper than Australia.
Plenty of ladies bags very cheap, make up range is limited but still worth a browse.
Lots a clothing women's, men's and children's, plenty of bargains.
Quality is good, just need to watch what you are buying, I've have clothing and shoes that I bought 2-3 years ago and still in use.
The best thing you don't have to barter.
It's a enjoyable way to spend a couple of hours.

If you have ever been to Hardy's in Sanur, this is like Hardy's on steroids. It was like Matahari's but at a third of the price. A lot of the stuff is cheap and some of it is nasty, but I picked up some really awesome stuff for the kids here for super cheap prices, and the shoes here are really good. I wish I'd found this place earlier, we didn't find it til an hour before it closed on our last night in Bali. I bought as much as I could, but still ran out of time. They are especially good for kids clothes. There are four levels and I only made it to three of them, but there is also some food outlets on the bottom floor where you can eat. Very crowded, very popular with locals and tourists alike. Definitely recommend. I personally never found any "bad copies" of anything, but I found that the quality of the stuff I bought was similar to Matahari's. We'll go back again.

My wife and I have been here a few times, a great centre full of great items, a whole level of shoes for everyone, mens, boys, girls, ladies apparel with great prices too.
A supermarket, coffee shop and eatery also in the centre, about 7 minutes walk from Level 21.
We think it's well worth checking out, and bought a number of Christmas presents for the whole family.

Myer for the locals. Clothing sizes generally small to fit locals. Money changer in store reliable and reasonable rate. Cosmetics (Revlon) darkish tones again for locals. Perfume only Indonesian fragrances. Whole floor for shoes you wouldn't find in Kuta area. (including sports brands but not a huge selection) Toilets Bali style and swimming in water but usable if you're desperate (no paper supplied). Staff friendly but limited English.

Went here in November 2012 and it was just such a waste of time. Several floors of piles of bad copies (not Billabong, it was Balihong or Enspit instead of Esprit). Bad quality and that particular muggy smell things get in Bali.
It reminds me of a bad outlet market with baskets of seconds where the labels and prints have gone wrong.
Thought this could be a place to make a find based on other Tripadvisor reviews but it was just so bad.

My husband and I went shopping here and thought it was good, plenty to choose from, decent size department store, there were great discounts and overall thought the prices were really good.

We have been here quite a few times in the past and again for the first time in maybe five years. There are a few places to enjoy a coffee on the main floor and lots of shopping for the ladies to browse. This center is mainly for the locals but a good place to visit a waste a few hours for westerners. I must say this as I did as my wife forgot that if you might think you may need to go to the toilet then by all means do it before you get there. Last trip wife went in to use the toilet and you guessed it not toilet paper. So out I go to find someone who might know where I can get some. Those who have been there know it is on the third floor at the back of the building and a sales person or two are right outside the toilet. I not only asked 1 but 2 persons for the paper and no one could help until I said OK sell me this shirt and I will use it for my wife to use. They did not understand until a man who worked there walked by and said for me to wait and he would get me some as he did. Would we go back yes but will do I said, go before you get there. By the way I forgot to say there is no where for a woman to sit so you have do the best you can by standing and hope you hit the middle of the hole in the floor, I kid you not. So unless you can squat forget it.

We found this mall quite by accident while looking for a local market in Denpasar. Ramayana is very cheap & mainly locals shop. They sell a great range of different things from perfume, make-up, to shoes & luggage at great prices. If you like wandering around & a good bargain here is the shop. We wandered around for about 3hours, then had lunch at a fast food chicken shop at the entrance to the mall, it was cheap & tasty. Happy shopping.

We haven't been to Ramayana for a few years, but as perusual we came out with a few bags of bargains. Shoes, clothes etc - there is always a large selection, compared to what we have at home in NZ. Took friends for the first time, she really did some shopping! It's great these places are open in the evening as you can spend day by pool or beach and then come shopping at night. We generally get a driver and go around several of the shopping malls for a few hours.
