Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This place in Mussoorie is excellent, situated in Landour area. Lot of beautiful traditional stuff is available here . The traditional Mussoorie cap available in Shoam cap centre is outstanding and cap is available at a very reasonable price

I used to buy antiques from the shop next door, which is held in the same family. The Heritage Centre is very interesting and helps local NGOs by selling their products. Stop in next time you are in the bazaar.

The place is run by an enterprising and passionate lady called Surabhi who has done a lot of research to put together the heritage of Mussoorie. In addition, she also does heritage walks and exhibitions. Must must go. Pick up souvenirs as well! Small. Quaint. Very overwhelming.

Its not very common when you come across a genuine effort by someone to preserve the culture and heritage of a place and yet not go overboard.
MHC is one such genuine attempt...though i spent barely 15 minutes in that place..it was enough to come out with a very positive impression.
The place speaks about the bygone era and also has very interesting local exhibits which are very reasonably priced.
A must visit if you are a history and culture buff!!!

This is the only place in Mussoorie which has displays the history of the city. Surbhi was really kind enough to take us a tour of her antique collections. We were also fascinated with the book marks and cards made by differently abled kids.

The best thing about MHC is its location. Located next to the historic Landour clock tower ( demolished but being rebuilt now) it is situated in the historic Parade Point house which was once owned by Pahari Wilson. The house has been restored well. Inside you can see display of old photographs of Mussoorie and Landour. You can buy the prints and other souveniers here.

Only a small room, next door to an Antiques shop, but some nice photos of old Mussoorie and a small selection of interesting souvenirs on sale.

I stumbled upon this on my walkabout and the lady assistant was able to answer all my questions on Mussoorie and its history. Was impressed that they sold products made by local people and not a plastic fridge magnet in sight!

An excellent initiative set in a heritage building itself. You can see old photos, sketches, paintings of Mussoorie and around. You can buy souvenirs from them, quite a few of them hand made by local women.

How to contact ms. Surbhi?

A phone number is available in the listing.
I am sorry I cannot recall the timings, but it probably closes at 6pm or so, as they were closing when we left.
The pricing would be similar to Cottage Industries Emporium or Fab India, though, there cannot be exact comparisons of hand made goods and local products.
