An important holy place of Hindu religion
A very important place to visit while in Mathura , where Lord Krishna was born , it’s a huge campus . You have to deposit your mobile/ bags at lockers out side temple . Clean toilets are in campus and shoe lockers in the campus . Very easy to visit with large groups.

    Better managed Temple
The Krishna Janmabhoomi temple is located within the extensive temple complex of Krishna Janmasthan Temple Complex. The details of the temple complex review are provided at the respective location. Inside the complex, there are two temples dedicated to Lord Krishna. Unlike temples in Vrindavan, the crowd here is better managed, and there is a queue system in place for entering the temples within the complex. Upon entering, you first encounter a temple dedicated to Lord Krishna, which is relatively less crowded. Subsequently, a long queue guides you to the cell where Lord Krishna was born. This cell has been transformed into a mandir (temple). The Krishna Janam Bhoomi is marked by a marble slab that designates the exact spot of His birth, commemorating this significant event.

    Big Complex!
The temple and it's complex is quite big and so not crowded like other temples of Mathura. You are not allowed to carry any bag or even mobile inside so all you will do inside is praying and watching the place with your eyes and not with mobile. Mobiles can be deposited at authorised place within the complex with per item charged at Rs 2 (do keep change with you). Inside there are few attraction such as Gufa and moving models. You can buy ticket for them inside only. Drinking water etc is also available inside free and in chargeable bottles also. Do relax there. Buy Peda from Brijwasi just opposite main gate of complex. You can also have snacks/ food there or at Madras dosa.

In Mathura, we took a guide for visiting Shree Krishna Janma Sthal and Dwarkadhish Temple who asked for Rs.100 which sounded a bit fair. Our visit to the Janma Sthal of Lord Krishna was quite good but the guide didn’t inform us about the lift available at the temple for old people and those who have a trouble walking, my mom had her ankle surgery a few months earlier so she needed it, though it was good that my dad saw the lift and we were able to take her to the temple. When we enquired the guide about it he just made excuses that he was aware of the lift but there have been certain issues in the past so it would be better not to tell us about it.
I strongly recommend you not to take these guides with you.

One needs to pay some amount to enter the building. It is divided into 2 parts. One part shows the story of Rama and Krishna through the use of puppets. The other is a prison cell where Krishna was born.

One can see the signage throughout the road which will take you to Krishna Janmabhoomi. There are few parking spots near to the entrance of this place. The place also have mosque in same complex.

For security purpose you need to deposit your bags, mobile and car keys prior to entering the temple. There is strict check at the entrance.

You can see shri krishna idol inside where he has taken birth. Once done you can come out through designated pathway and then explore the outside of area.

This is the place where Lord Krishna was born on midnight of 8th day of Shravan.

The actual birth place of Krishna is now converted into temple known as Garbh Griha.
Temple remains closed in afternoon.
No need to hire guide.

Plenty of stairs to be climbed.

Strictly no mobile phone or any bag with you is allowed inside ... security checking 2 times. Cloak room is available to deposit your mobile and belongings.

Plenty of accommodation around and many options for eating.
No parking facilities.
Auto transportation easily available for vrindavan, gokul and local areas in abundance ( sharing also ).

Janmabhoomi temple is the birthplace of Lord Krishna. One side of the temple has the place were Krishna ji was born, second has the deities. The entry to the temple and the darshan is very well organized. Every person must visit this place, once in their lifetime. Hare rama hare krishna, krishna krishna hare hare.

Pious and best temple of Shri Krishna. Better to visit on your own, Guide not required. It has Karavas birthplace and a separate temple of Shri Krishna. It also has a small cave JHANKHI of Shri Krishna's life.
In house Rabdi, dudh and peda are delicious. Visit the REAL Brijvasi Sweet shop to have Dodha Barfi, Mathura peda and Soan papadi. It's near to gate 1.

A must visit place as its a Birthplace of Lord Krishna. Basically its a prison built by Kansa where Krishna was born and taken to Gokul before Kansa could kill him. Be ready for tight security check-in. There is mosque adjustment to temple.
