This is one of the well maintained temple in varanasi. They have good arrangements to manage crowds. There is enough space within the premises to take a stroll and sit to meditate. Recommended.

The temple premises are well maintained and clean. The statue of Hanumanji faces that of his icon Shri Ram and on the platform in between was a Group of devotees chanting the Hanuman chalisa in perfect unison.
It created a wonderful ambience and was very satisfying.
The cleanliness deserves mention.
The sweet shop has a variety of sweet meats and for travellers the Lal peda and besan Ladoo are ones that don't spoil easily.

Varanasi is the spiritual capital of India. The city has got a lot of temples and Sankat Mochan Temple is one of the most prominent one. It is located on the banks of Assi river. It is dedicated to Lord Hanuman. Sankat means trouble and Mochan means relief. There is belief among Hindus that one who worship Lord Hanuman gets relief from all problems. Tuesdays and Saturdays are considered as auspicious days for Lord Hanuman worship.
In March 2006 a terrorist attack took place here. Since then there is a strong police security inside the temple.
