Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Nobody was there when we reached there. This place is between Rajendra Prasad Ghat and Man Singh Ghat. The view of River Ganga from top of the building was awesome. Visit there if you have time.

Visitors to Varanasi are so enamoured by the ghats ,gaalis and temples that few sites are left unvisited. While walking along the ghat we happen to come across this treasure trove. A few steps climb leads you to the reception area which is not handled very well. A walk up on the top floor leads you to the magnificent examples of science and art in the form of the observatory. It was so scientifically built that the calculations are still applicable. A few visitors use this place only to have a vintage view of the river Ganges and beyond. Wish it was more visible and the staff was more trained.

SO MUCH MORE THAN AN OBSERVATORY! This is THE hidden gem in Varanasi if you like history/culture. Through short films/interactive audio/cool visuals, you get to know the history of the city and region and culture. There is interactive art, music, a 3D show of the main attractions of the region (which is an amazing way to see all the highlights and learn more about them) and even a fully immersive light show with beamers where they project the legend of the origin of the Ganges onto the walls of the main hall.

Next to that it's nice to see a Maharaja Palace restored and from the inside. Top it off by checking out the rooftop observatory and enjoy the best view of the Ganges.

Tourists pay 300Irs. But its 250Irs. If you pay by card.
The money goes towards keeping the place open and continued restauration.

This place is at the Dashashvamedh ghat thousands of visitors gather here every day and considered to be a holy place as per Hindu minority, Man Singh observatory is at the Man Singh ghat, a place where you can see the view of Holy river Ganga from the top of Terrace, This is well structured but less visitors come here cause most of the people are unaware and isn't considered to be important tourist place.
