This shop primarily sells souvenirs of Taj made of Marble. Most of the tourist guides also get the tourists to this shop. One can watch the craftsmen at work here. We found the place to be a tad expensive.

Save your money - they have the same stuff at every single market in India. Even if you don't negotiate at those markets, still 1/20th of the price. This place is a scam.

Didn't want to go but somehow ended up here. I understand how intricate the work is and it is a dying art. But I'm back packing and on a fixed budget so this kind of thing doesn't interest me. They are pressuring but not aggressive with their sales. It you can afford it, by all means check it out.

Included in my Maria tours of agra was a visit to this artisan workshop. The craftsman have been working here for centuries using this ancient materials and it runs in the families as an inherited tradition passed down in families from father to son. Same composition and materials used in the inlay of the Tag Mahal. Expensive ornate and beautiful... More

This is a must see in Agar for those who enjoy craftsmanship in fine artwork. The tour of the making process and showroom are wonderful. The staff is friendly and quite helpful. The detailed craftsmanship in each piece with its ornate design really is stunning!

Ok, so I think our tour guide is associated with the Marble Cottage somehow, because of all the shops located outside of the Taj Mahal, he steered us in here. The marble items were indeed lovely and we ended up purchasing many items to bring back home as gifts. Excellent craftsmanship, and they are willing to bargain a little.

We recently visited Agra and passed up an opportunity to purchase a marble elephant with semi-precious gemstones inlayed. It's a beautiful craftsmanship that Agra is known for. You will find this same artwork on the Taj Mahal. When I got home, I couldn't stop thinking about the elephant. I found Marble Cottage on trip advisor. Nice to see the store... More
