Baby Taj Mahl, I was lucky enough that my guide Gulshan Mughni took me here during a quiet time. I really enjoyed walking around without bumping into other tourists. Peaceful and serene.

My wife and I visited the Itimad-ud-daulah (“Baby Taj” and pronounced “Atma dolla”) whilst in Agra during a tour of northern India. Although it is relatively small and does not take long to visit, this tomb of Mirza Ghiyas Beg is a “must see” if you are in Agra. Located on the banks of the Yamuna River on the opposite... More

Despite very small dimensions, it was this mausoleum that served as inspiration for the construction of the Taj Mahal The marble work inlaid are more pornogenic and in larger area (when compared) with its precessor. Deserved better conservation.

It is very pretty, but not as well kept as Agra Fort or the Taj Mahal. Not a bad place to stop if it is part of a package deal, but I wouldn't make a trip out of it.

Not well kept, Isolated and on the banks of Yamuna. A must visit in case if history interests you, By the bank of Yamuna (dirty) and construction all around does not set that royal tone !

This is a jewel box of a site and referred to as the "baby Taj" because of the architectural elements that are similar to its more famous older parent. It is a beautiful edifice that is very popular with tourists but no where near as crowded as the Taj Mahal. You can actually sit and think and leisurely take photos... More

This place is little known, but if you are in Agra, you should definitely visit it. It is a smaller version of the Taj Mahal, and some parts of the architecture are more beautiful than those of the Taj itself! The interiors aren't very grand, but the delicateness of the designs on the outer walls is fabulous. It is a... More

This tomb was built by Emperor Jahangir's queen, Nurjahan, in memory of her father. Built entirely in white marble and inlaid with semi-precious stones, this mausoleum sits on the banks of the Yamuna River. It's definitely worth a look as historians feel it greatly influenced the design of the Taj Mahal.
