We could see the fort from the Taj Mahal and when we arrived it was as lovely as expected. Quite historical.

This is one of the best monuments I have ever visited in India. The architecture is really mind boggling. The way all 3 main gates are designed are fabulous. Main structures like Diwan-e-Khas & Diwan-e-aam are very much intact. History is every where spread...what you...More

A highlight of our guided tour of the sub-continent, the Fort at Agra is exceptional and a highly recommended visit while in Agra.

Another veritable treasure trove of the Mughal architectural tradition. There are number of monuments within the fort like Jahangiri Mahal, Khas Mahal, Diwan-I-Khas, Diwan-I-Aam etc. which are also great places of interest to the tourist for years.

This is a wonderfully evocative place with some awe inspiring architecture. Sadly the smell of an open sewer on entry is not good and the faded glory of the place is a real shame. The Indian government should really consider saving their heritage for posterity.

This palace was the home of the Mughal emperors and it has a long history. The architecture is very beautiful.

A fascinating story about Akbar the Great and his family's history. A fascinating fort, and well worth a trip.

I had a wonderful afternoon here. I enjoyed it more than the Taj Mahal. So much detail. It was busy but not over crowded.

Try avoiding weekends as it gets really crowded and best is to travel early morning. Atleast 2 hours.
