It's the middle of winter in India so the gardens of Mehtab Bagh weren't in full flower, though they are still a lovely quiet, reflective place to walk around. However, there's no doubt that these gardens are popular with tourists for one reason - and that is to view the Taj Mahal from its rear side, across the River Yamuna.... More

This garden is across Taj Mahal, beside Yamuna river. We went around sunset time and had a magnificient view of Taj. Not a lot of crowd, you will get all the oppurtunity to take your picture without thousands of people infront of you. it is a must see place.

The gardens are a pleasant walk. They are also surprisingly quiet. However, the real reason is to see the Taj Mahal at sunset and if you can manage this it really is truly memorable.

We enjoyed the flavor of the neighborhood around the area. You can even take a camel ride. We paid for the garden, which isn't much of a garden currently but the view was great. No crowds.enjoyed view of the bilateral mosques and the Taj from behind.

We took 30 minutes to get here from the main hotel district. The drive was more interesting than the garden. You will pass some ragged tent homes and then many vendors. The "garden" is just a dusty dirty area with a residual brick foundation. The only worthwhile result is a view of the back of the Taj. Costs $US3 to... More

My first photos of the Taj Mahal, in the late afternoon, were from the banks of the Yamuna River. The park is quiet and a great place to capture views of the famous monument without crowds. Didn't know there was an entry fee as nobody stopped me at the entrance.

The first day when we reached Agra we were slightly late to visit the Taj mahal, never the less we hurried to get the back view of Taj Mahal - which looks same from all four directions so telling back would be unjustified. Good clean place to relax with kids and enjoy your leisure time.

This garden is quiet, tranquil and overlooking the Taj with a commanding view. I spent it resting while facing the Taj mahal.

Nice view of the Taj Mahal from the back side, however not worth for two hundred rupees (non Indian citizens). Tripods are not allowed...!?!?? (even not a small one)

I went to the Taj Mahal in the morning before it got to crowded and, as expected, it was utterly magnificent. After a tour of the Agra fort, I took a 25ish minute cab ride to Mehtab Bagh. I'm not certain if it's like this all the time but there were very few people on this side of the river.... More
