The pykara is a DAM . About 10 km from Ooty . Boating here is less expensive and also the crowd here is less. The reason being that you have to walk down about half km down hill . And its tough when climbing uphill....More

Lake is amazing , clean and huge . Surrounding view is very good . Shouldn't be missed to see this one and one should definitely do boating here . Falls are good however the water level is very less at the falls .

They have maintained the lake nicely & kept it Clean. nice views from the Mountains. Speed boating was very good experience.

Lake is really nicely surrounded by natural beauty. Clean water. Well managed boat house. But unless you do boating, you will not be allowed to go near the water. The waterfall is not so good. Not even well managed....I will say not worth to go...More

At Pykara Lake you can spend time as long as you want. For boating you have to buy tickets which usually takes 5-10 mins. Then you have to stand in a queue which depends on the rush. Usually it is about another 20 mins... More
