Very nice to be in this temple.. Around 350 steps and didn't find much tough to climb but still elders may feel difficulty in climbing.. Car parking is a real challenge since all nearby roads are very narrow..

However there are various stops in between and you will not feel the strain at all. On the way up, there is a temple dedicated to lord shiva. Further up is a shrine dedicated to... More

Temple at Tiruchirapalli was a unique Ganesha temple. The shrine at the summit (ucchi in Tamil) is about 3.8 billion years old. The small temple, dedicated to Ganesha is perched on an outcrop that is reached after climbing over 400 steps, and offers a panoramic and breathtaking view of the city of Tiruchirapalli. We visited the temple in the weekend.... More

This is a fantastic place that offers a little bit of everything. You start with a prayer at the bottom of the hill, then do a nice little trek on the carved steps cut through the hill, and when you reach the top all sweaty in the humid climate, you are rewarded with nice breeze. Take it all in, visit... More
