It's a must visit if u are in gangtok. Peaceful n seems one close to nature. A little difficult for old people to go up from the car parking. But if someone manages it will be worth the visit.

Shared jeeps are available from Gangtok to Rumtek monastery till 1500HRS.(appx) but it depends on availability. Same for returning, but you may not get any shared taxi after 1200HRS. So plan accordingly. In this respect it... More
