    Impressive architecture with faithful following
It was quite a steep climb up the steps from street level but it was worth it. The sheer number of intricate carvings was impressive. Equally impressive was the growing number of devoted followers in the early evening

A Kaleidoscope of Colors and Carvings!
Jagdish Temple is more like a mini palace for Lord Vishnu! This 3-story wonder glitters with intricate carvings, from dancing elephants to colourful deities. Inside, the main shrine holds a stunning black stone Lord Vishnu statue, radiating peace. But don't miss the smaller shrines dedicated to other gods – each a unique gem. Bonus points for the rooftop views & friendly atmosphere! A must-see in Udaipur, whether you're spiritual or just love stunning architecture. #UdaipurMustSee #JagdishTemple #DivineVibes #ArchitecturalGems #IndiaTravels

    Beautifully carved temple
Free to enter this temple. Beautifully carved marble exterior. People were performing ceremonies inside while we were visiting. Beware of a guy trying to take you into a side door off the temple to sell you paintings. He is a scam artist widely spoken about on this site. We went in and I saw the paintings at the end of the room and as he started to explain about some paintings on the wall we turned around and left.

A very beautiful and ornate temple which is very imposing at the same time. The architecture is simply stunning and the hand-carved stone is certainly amazing.

Came for services. Exuberant! They were doing construction so there was scaffolding here and there. Some tourists, but mostly locals.

Temple is old and under maintenance. Steep steps to climb, close to most of the hotels. Recommend to walk to take an auto.

Jagdish Temple is situated just outside the city palace, a short walk from the city palace is needed for visit. However, the walk to the temple is through marketplace, hence one may encounter salesmen in-between, individual discretion is recommended in dealing with them. This is an old temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The temple has an attractive architecture with curved pillars, elegant ceilings and painted walls. As the temple is made on elevated platform, one has to climb over 30 odd stiff marble stairs for visit and offering prayer and puja. Puja offerings (like flowers, prasad) are available at the footstep of the temple. A visit to this ancient temple along with City Palace is recommended.
