Jaswant thada is a marble cenotaph build in the honor of mahrajas of Jodhpur. Located near mehrangarh fort, its a very quite and peaceful place, with a view of entire blue city. Fine carved marble jharokhas and history of all the maharajas and their tenure gives glimpse of royal rajputana empire

It was closed down by the time we visited Jaswant Thada on our way back from Meherangarh Fort. But since the gate was ajar my mother and I went inside. The sun was setting then and the place looked even more beautiful. However the security guard was quite rude and did not allow us inside the marble mausoleums. He drove... More

These lovely mausoleums are set in very peaceful surroundings next to a small lake. The interiors of the main mausoleum are simply stunning. I have never seen such beautiful translucent marble.

It is just nearby to Mehrangarh fort. Good to visit once and see white marble structure. Takes around 1-hour to visit it all. Inside has a big room depicting all Royal family from Year 1200~ onward. Park on the side is also good. Good view of Mehrangarh Fort from this location as well as city. Fee is also very less.... More

We visited the cenotaph in early March 2017 and found it very interesting. The separate royal mausoleums were beautiful and the carvings in the marble were exquisite. Great view from the site over Jodhpur and one of the Royal Palaces in the background.

The attraction is worthwhile and has incredible carving of white marble. The marble is not as pure white as the Taj Mahal. It has some veins in it but nevertheless incredibly beautiful. Set high overlooking Jodpur. Also a good view of the spectacular massive mehrangarh fort. A small charge for cameras.

We went first thing in the morning and it was very peaceful here. The man made lake attracts many birds and you could hear their wings flap on the water. Blissful

Our driver took us here where we met up with our guide for the day. We weren't expecting the cool breeze, lack of pollution and a lake with interesting birds. Nice toilets. You pay for entry and he buildings are a mausoleum and various tombs of sons/wives etc. All in white marble. Some trees with sunbirds and humming birds when... More
