History of chamunda temple in pushkar.....this temple is a hidden treasure in the serene surroundings of pushkar hills...it's a 2km walk from pushkar main bazaar...there are 52 shaktipeeths (power places) in India and neighboring countries.....the legend has it that the various body parts of the mother goddess fell in those places energizing them.this one is 27 th where wrists of the goddess fell.

This is approached through Mehrangarh Fort. A short walk. The temple is well looked after. The entire area including the approach was very clean

Situated within the Mehrangarh fort premises the temple is on the other side. Some renovation / construction is happening on the path to the temple. You can have a better view of the blue city from here.

The temple is at the other end of the Mehrangarh fort. Takes 10 extra minutes to reach there but is totally worth it. You get the view of the entire blue city from there.

This temple is at the end of the fort. Temple is very small but beautiful. you can view breathtaking view of the blue city from the temple area. Worth to visit the place. Aarati takes place at 7 PM daily.

This temple is situated within the Mehrangarh fort. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Chamuda. As per Hindu religious texts, Goddess Shakti had taken the form of Goddess Chamuda to kill the Demons. People visiting the fort should keep dedicated hours to visit the temple...More
