Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

If you're into old buildings, stone carving and the history of how people lived in this area, please don't miss these havelis. Just a short walk out of the fort through the amazing narrow streets of Jaisalmer, you can certainly fill in an afternoon here.

Lots of craft shops here near the entrance to the fort.
We walked by often when we left the fort and wanted to visit the lower town.
Bedspreads, hand bags, and other embroidered items hang in the front of several shops.
Leather items were in abundance in other stalls.
Silver (?) jewelry was featured in others perhaps it's real silver, but just as likely not.
A hat shop owner always greeted us when we walked by. He noticed our hats and asked how much we paid for them.
One day there was a young boy who set up a tightrope between two poles and was walking back and forth balancing himself on the rope - some people got close to watch and perhaps tipped him.
Good shots of the exterior of the fort can be taken from here.

There are 4, or possibly 5 Havelis here. The combined entrance fees could add up to be quite expensive. The best feature is the carved stone facade. You can see that from the street for free

This is also close to Jaisalmer Fort,
Visit the castle, the castle even more spectacular out of this one, which is not particularly innovative.

This is why you visit Jaisalmer : the havelis and the Jain temples. Get lost in the rabbit hole of alleyways ; make sure you carry your camera and snap away !

This is a nice place within the area of Golden fort in Jaisalmer. You get a feel of rich and royal tradition of Rajasthan. Worth visiting.
