Should go in evening. I liked the place for its archaeological value . I heard that nice sunset point ,better to go in afternoon after sunshine as its totally exposed area .

The mesmerizing and haunting beauty of the Chhatris remain for a long times. Situated outside the city, the place gets few visitors. However, the stark emptiness of the surroundings and the grandeur in death makes a mind blowing combination. Spend some time with a local guide to understand the significance of the place.

A small yet unusual and unique place. We went there early afternoon but the Sun was quite harsh and sand was blowing with the wind right on our face... irony: I still liked it. The way they are grouped, the architecture, the carving, the golden stone shining against the sun light and sand. Its quite different from forts and palaces.... More

Its a must to visit place but no use of it if don't take guide. its small place spread in just a km space, good to know about cremanation of Raja's family. The only cons of this place if highly priced ticket of this place. 100 Rs per head too much for this place.

This place has so many angles to photograph with lovely architecture to capture. The place has dome and arches together making it perfect to sit ans relax, as it is built on height, the feel of breeze is awesome.

If you are ever in Jaisalmer and have an hour [or two] spare take the opportunity to visit the royal cenotaphs at bada [bara] bagh Any time of the day will do but close to evening will add to the contrasts in your photos [plus the noisy local kids will be heading home for dinner!] - and the sunset horizon... We loved this place a lot. We visited the buildings in the late afternoon very close to sunset. It wasn´t very crowded, so it was very lovely to stroll around the area.
