Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Vyas Chatri is dedicated to Sage Vyas, who wrote the epic Mahabharata. Vyas Chhatri has nice memorials that features intricate carvings, arches, and domes. It is made of yellow sandstone. The Cenotaph is adorned with beautiful paintings depicting life of Sage Vyas. Further, it is a cremation ground for Brahmins. When we visited in the afternoon on a day in Oct’23, the place was deserted. The place offers good photo ops.

A little walk from Jaisalmer. ( 25 minutes walk) Entrance 100 roepies a person. Nice to see. These are the cenotaphs of the royal family In Jaisalmer. Some of the cenotaphs are in a bad condition. You see a lot of windmills at the background.

These cenotaphs are similar to the ones at Baga Bagh. You can sit there and relax or marvel at the peaceful surrounds and take amazing sunset pictures.

Its burial grounds of kings which is managed by the royal family of Jaisalmer. The place has an entry fee of INR 100 / pax with additional fee of 100 for camera( including mobile camera).
Presumably the money is used for restoration ; which is absolutely rubbish. One can find all kinds of rubbish here, beer bottles, poultry wings, waste paper, clothes ...you name it..its there.
Even the sculptures are not well kept with missing names of tombs. On top..the security guard offered us a discount of 50% for using mobile camers for pictures.
Waste of time n money. Absolutely missable.

The cenotaphs at Vyas Chhatri are ok. Since Jaisalmer's density is low, this place seems to be on the outskirts, on the way to Sam. You can see them from the road as well. You should visit only if you have time and are in Jaisalmer for a long visit (i.e. you have time to spend at 'all' the attractions). Bada Bagh is much more famous and beautiful -- if you have to choose, pick Bada Bagh for a cenotaph visit and get a glimpse of the history.
