I really enjoyed the walk up the mountain and through the old Fort. It is not in great shape but it is definitely worth the effort. Great views, hundreds of peacocks, and the monkeys are a total gas. You will also encounter some Indian characters....More

If you visit Sawai Madhopur to go on a Tiger Safari, do also go and visit the Fort. It is such an interesting place, beautiful working temples and great insight into the Architectures of Rajesthan. Get a local guide and have a great day out.

Most of the hotels have tie-up with Canters or Gypsies which will take you to Ranthambore Fort. Canters are less expensive compared to Gypsies.
