Karan and TGIR created a wonderful trip for my first visit to India. Before choosing him as my travel agent, I had some idea of the things I wanted to see and experience. I contacted several different agencies and it quickly became clear that Karan was the one who completely understood what I was after and was able to provide a highly customized itinerary at a reasonable cost. All communications prior to the trip were timely and professional.
During my three week trip, Karan had everything very well organized. As a solo traveller I felt very safe and well looked after. I spent some of my trip in remote villages without communication to the outside world and was able to completely trust the drivers and guides that were with me in these places. At every other time he made sure that I always had access to wifi in the car while driving and in the hotels so I could be in touch with home.
Karan communicated every day to make sure things were going smoothly, and when the occasional issue arose he reacted promptly to find a good solution. He has connections with many of the hotel owners and managers and is able to negotiate for room upgrades which is also a nice perk after long intense travel days.
I am also happy that Karan is committed to supporting other young travel entrepreneurs and partnering with them in order to create even better opportunities for his guests.
Now that I have returned home, I can hardly wait to begin planning the next trip. Thank you so much Karan for everything you did over the last weeks and months to create such a special experience.

Karan helped us organize a number of trips in India, which we remember with pleasure - he has a great reliable partner network all over India as well as travelled a lot himself hence could ensure the best experience for us, Europeans, of a perfect price and quality ratio. The communication has always been very smooth, polite and quick! I highly recommend his services for travelers to India, it makes a lot of difference when a trip is organized by an experienced local person knowing the cultural nuances of the Incredible India so well! Especially now when he has been working out of Europe, getting to know our ways and being able to understand the needs of western travelers even better. I lived in India myself for a number of years and can assure that it is very difficult to find a trustworthy trip organizer, hence was really lucky to have met Karan!

I took my first ever trip to India with the company for the Golden Triangle with Kerala Itinerary in November 2019. To say the trip was fantastic is an understatement!
I and my family had a blast, all thanks to Karan. Karan was the most passionate and dedicated travel support that we’ve come across.
We stayed in some of the most amazing places including boathouses and royal households and toured incredible India without any hiccup. Contrary to my belief, the highlight of the trip for me wasn’t Taj Mahal. It was, in fact, a village called Narlai where we stayed at a heritage hotel and saw 3 leopards. Alleppey and Cochin were beautiful too, my kids (8 and 11) absolutely loved the backwater houseboat that the company booked for us.
We had two local guides during this 18-day tour - Anjali and Chetan. Both of them were very knowledgeable and polite. I would also like to give a special mention to our drivers Keshav and Vineet for their par driving skills. My kids never felt the slightest discomfort on the ride, which I'm very thankful for.
Highly recommend this tour and thank you all for sharing your beautiful country with us.

Rajasthan was always on my bucket list and this Christmas I planned on visiting it with TGIR, mostly because I heard good things about them from my peers. I got in contact with the team and with the help of Karan, crafted a custom itinerary for me and my friend.
I would like to mention while booking, all my inputs were respected by Karan, and my request to make the trip less monument oriented and more experience-based were taken care of without a question.
The ground support team were a delight to travel with and all the rooms we stayed in were luxurious as advertised.
However, to be honest, the experiences were the highlight of the trip. We learned block paintings in Jaipur, learned cooking in Jodhpur and had an amazing New Year’s Eve dining at one of the best restaurants in Jodhpur.
The trip was a success, thank you TGIR for making the whole experience delightful. I cannot wait to go on another adventure in India.

Karan and his team created a most wonderful 10 day trip to India for us! We are from Austin, Teaxas a family of four with two young children ages nine and seven. We toured Udaipur from Delhi to start and it was such a wonderful place with the Araveli mountains and beautiful lakes the Taj Araveli was an incredible resort. Tours of City Palace and a small island by boat were fantastic. We next headed to a small village Bera which was recommended actually by a friend of ours. If you can look past not having typical amenities of a five-star resort this beautiful restored 300 year old castle is a homestay with a descendent from the royal family from Udaipur. The leopard safari in Bera is truly incredible. We then went on to Jaipur and Agra and had matching wonderful visits. Karan provides a true concierge 24/7 which for us being in a foreign place made everything so extremely smooth. Nothing was overlooked and guides hotels and especially our driver Kamlender were all great!!!

The Grand Indian Route helped us plan our trip to Rajasthan and we had a wonderful experience.
So far we have booked almost everything with TGIR and they have arranged everything for us at an extremely competitive price.
We were very pleased with the driver's politeness and knowledge, as well as his willingness to listen to what we wanted.
We requested 5-star hotels, and all of the hotels in Rajasthan were 5-star hotels, surpassing our expectations. The desert camp at Jaisalmer was also excellent.
As we really wanted to do some adventure activities, the team arranged some for us. In general, we enjoyed elephant activities the most. Our trip was also guided by an excellent guide. In addition to taking photos for us, he explained almost everything to us. It could be said that he was the Indian Wikipedia.
As part of our 10-day trip, we visited the Taj Mahal, traveled to Rajasthan, Jaipur, Udaipur, Delhi, and Agra, and explored offbeat locations like Rusirani village and the Desert Camp at Jaisalmer.
Definitely worth recommending.
We appreciate you making our journey memorable once again

A team of proactive professionals, highly recommend for Indian subcontinent! Although I am not very frequent with reviews, my last trip to India with TGIR compelled me to come here and thank these guys for all they did for us there. Not only did they help us on our entire trip, but they were also very flexible to make last-minute changes. My husband and I visited India for New Years in the last week of February this year. We planned on covering Rajasthan and Northeast. As promised, the company booked really nice hotels for us and even took the pain to show India in a different light. Apart from the monuments and beautiful forts, Karan arranged for us an array of activities to enjoy and understand the culture. We learned block painting in Bagru at Jaipur, Indian cooking in Jodhpur and a rural art form in Chandelao Garh, a small hamlet near Jodhpur. After the Corona Virus spread post-March, we even decided to not go any further and return back home. I mentioned the same to Karan and without any issues, the man agreed to cancel our trip to the North East leg. He even arranged for last-minute transfers and got us home safely. I am very thankful to Mr Karan and the entire team Somesh (driver) and Ravi (guide) alike for being so helpful throughout. You guys are heroes!

Upon reading about TGIR company reviews, we decided to book our tour from US, and the service was amazing from the moment we contacted them.
I had no problem with anything. After listening to what we wanted, they created an itinerary that met our interests. It was a pleasure to stay in all of the hotels we selected specifically for our needs and requirements.
It was a pleasure to be welcomed and we had no complaints. Driver Vijendra and tour guide Manish were excellent and professional. I was very pleased with the cleanliness and condition of the vehicle, and the amount of comfort it offered.
We had a wonderful experience with the staff. We cannot say enough about how attentive they were. The kids also enjoyed their time with them. Definitely looking forward to booking with them again.
The trip to Rajasthan was amazing and we have many wonderful memories to cherish. This company offers a unique tour experience. The best I've ever seen.

My friends (five girls) were thinking of vacation for sometime ,saw a travel blog from Karan(TGIR)on trip advisor ,very much impressed and reached out to him. The first interaction with him was so pleasant and it remained same till the last day of the trip. He understood the expectations, budget of our group and meticulously planned every detail for the trip, there was not even a single instance where details were missed or miscommunication happened. 5 days trip to Jaipur and jaisalmar covered adventure, sight seeing, relaxation.Guides and drivers(Prateek,Lokendar Singh,Tanu,Sawai,Devendar singh) allocated through out the trip are so humble, knowledgeable, respectful, honest and cooperative, they literally understand the meaning of the famous phrase "athithdi devo bhava". Amerfort, seeshmahal ,hawamahal in jaipur are architectural marvels, Camel safari, zeep safari in sand dunes, night stay in kafila desert camp , stay in jaisalmar fort (Garh jaisal)are experiences that we will hold close to our hearts and cherish for long. Women are fond of shopping and the travel team clearly knows it,so they have allocated couple of hours for shopping everyday and we did make best of it. Guides helped us with places which serve best local food - (Dal baati Churma, Gatte, pyaaz ki kachori, Gevar, malpua, bajre ki roti,Ker sangari...and many more delicious foods).By end of the trip none of the girls wanted to go home and we are already planning to talk to Karan(TGIR) for arranging a trip to North East India. No doubt TGIR will be our go to travel agency for all future trips within and outside India. Thanks to Karan and the entire team who made this trip so special and memorable

We have just returned from an affordable luxury tailor made trip to rural Rajhastan. It was a very enriching experience, and we had the most amazing time. The Great Indian Route planned the trip to the last detail, every step was smooth and well-coordinated from start to finish. Karan Jaswal, co-founder of the agency, constantly kept in touch with us during the trip to make sure that everything was right, moreover, he went beyond the planned itinerary to include extra experiences to match our interests. The guides were excellent, extremely knowledgeable of the sites, history and everyday life. And our driver, Pankaj, was the best ever. We stayed in spectacular heritage accommodations. We experienced everything possible, from temples, palaces and forts to bird sanctuaries, safaris and an amazing experience overnight in the desert, with camel ride included. But what we loved mostly, were the people, the tribes with their incredible colorful clothes and their warm welcomes. The Great Indian Route’s detailed planning made this a truly memorable journey. My first tour with them: but certainly not my last!
