This landmark Buddhist Stupa on the Dhauli Hills, called Dhauli Shanti Stupa, was once an imposing white edifice overlooking the legendary Daya River with Yellow Lions standing guard. But now the maintenance has become pathetic and "Dhauli has become Maili"......dotted with vendors, hawkers and sugercane juice sellers. YET, it remains one of the topmost "MUST VISIT" places in the region.

This is the place where transformation of the great Emperor of India - Emperor Ashoka from a war loving to a peace loving person happened after seeing... More

A must visit Buddha Stupa very near to Bhubaneshwar. The stupa is sacred with four different postures of Buddha in all four directions. Its on hill top where cars and buses go. It looks very beautiful from far but as you reach near you can see its not maintained which will make you sad. Still the serenity and the beauty... More

It is great place to visit if you want place with good windy environment plus great construction. History of this place is related to ashoka and at the time of war whole river which is flowing below was turned to red and hence it is also known as rakhte nadi.

A recent monument built in memory of Asoka the Great just a stones throw from the ancient rock edict that he placed 2000 years ago. Saw the light and sound show in English that was worth the visit.
