The Devi Jagdamba Temple is one of the smaller temples inside the archaeological complex and dedicated to Devi. Only about half of the temples have been preserved and the restored, while the modern parts are pretty obvious. Although it’s not the best of the temples in the complex, I liked it for relief sculptures still preserved and the scary looking idol of the goddess Devi inside the sanctum sanctorum. The reliefs are made up largely of the mithuna imagery found on Lakshmana and Kandariya Mahadeva temple. If you got tired of looking at the other too, then you won’t really miss much if you skip this one.

This is one of the temples in this western group of Khajuraho temples. You must have a guide to make the most of this UNESCO site.
The temple is decorated with outstanding and intricate sculptures that depict everyday life.
The temple is set in a pleasant parkland setting and near other temples. It is easy to walk between the temples and there are numerous good photo opportunities.
If you are in Khajuraho you have probably come to see the temples. I recommend them.

Located just to the left side of Kandariya temple, besides being a beautiful architectural piece it also makes for a good spot to shoot pics of Kandariya.

The goddess in the sanctum has eyes of silver that seem to watch you in the temple. The temple is beautiful.

Beautiful temple right next to the Kandariya Mahadeva temple. Dedicated to Parvati. More renovations have been done on this temple and so it is less charming than the Kandariya Mahdeva, Lakshmana, or even Vishwanatha temples. Nonetheless, almost equally beautiful

Not as grand as the adjacent Kandarya Mahadev Temple but on its own it's a great example of temple architecture and some great sculptures. It's in a similar style to the other temples in the complex. Khajuraho, as a whole, should not be missed!

This is much smaller than the magnificent Kandariya Mahadev Tenlple. lt has a cross plan with only on set of balconies, only one mandap and no inner pradakshina patha. However, the Devi Jagdambi Temple has some of the loveliest sculptures ill Khajuraho, and because of its medium height most of them are easily visible.
Apart from the normal repertoire of female figures applying make-up and preening themselves, there are a number of depictions of lovers embracing and these are tucked away in the recesses and shadows of the temple.
On the west side are most facinating sculptures, one depictling a woman with her beautiful back turned to the onlooker. She is preoccupied in gazing at her beauty in the mirror, her scarf falling over her shoulder most provocatively. Near her is another seductive woman with a beautiful figure. This is a depictlion of the verse in thc Shiv Purana.

Devi Jagdamba Temple located just right next to the Kandariya Mahadeva temple. Dedicated to Goddess Parvati. There are excellent stone carving & sculptures in the outer wall as well as inner wall & roof. It's in a similar style to the other temples in the complex.
