What a temple the culture oozes out of the surroundings . Festivals abound here so beautifully decorated with decorations made from natural materials the music is astounding with natural oil lamps illuminating all around .

Where religion and tourism come together. From the Varkala helipad, we took an auto and reached the temple. It is a very crowded place on way to the Varkala beach.

I knew from my guide book that non-Hindus aren't welcome inside, but both him and the gentleman on the door insisted it was okay, even after I pointed... More

The temple is spread across a huge area, has two ponds, one which is accessible to public and one for the use for the temple. Very soothing feeling and good place to have peace.

The entrance has around 50 or less probably steps and its little steep. Once inside there are2-3 smaller mandaps and then a big one for the main god.... More

Such a privilege to be able to go into this old temple. A temple has been on this site for 2000 years and this building has been there for 1000. The depictions of Lord Vishnu , Lord Hanuman and Durga are amazing. Definitely a must see

A lot of history to this temple! Everyday the decoration of the idol changes which is magnificent! The beach is just 5 mins walk and umpteen number of shacks within the vicinity. Shanti! Shanti!
