Beautiful old fans used to keep the congregation cool by the punkawallahs of old. Tiles imported from London and an upside down keel roof made by ship builders. Vasco da Gama was buried here until his son made the trip over to collect his remains...More

A very old, renovated church. There are rescued gravestones in the entrance hall. The decor is simple but classic. There is the memorial to Vasco da Gama, who was originally buried here.

It is a must visit in Kochi. Built in 1503 it is historically important church of colonial times. Vasco da Gama died in Kochi and was burried in the church, though his remains now rests in Lisbon.
