Lovely little street with shops to purchase clothing, shawls, scarfs and nick nacks. Very pleasant to walk along. It also has a convenience store for water/juice/ toiletries/ food etc. At very reasonable prices.

Nice street but very touristy as many have already written here. But the the old colonial style is nice so well worth a visit while here. Nice to walk around. Have a coffee or tea at some of the cafés.

While this street is quite charming, the shops and restaurants are decidedly tourist oriented. It's a nice place to window shop, but there are probably better places to do serious shopping.

Besides having some excellent homestays, this street also has some quaint shops like Peter's and two very useful functional shops (for mineral water etc). There is an art gallery of sorts bang in the middle, run by an eccentric hobo who is worth meeting.

Good shopping on this street for shawls, gifts (elephants!), and some jewelry. Shop owners vary in their pushiness, but for the most part a pleasant experience.
