On 23rd Apr'17, I have visited this temple along with my Parents. Ernakulam Shiva temple / Ernakulathappan temple is one of the major temples of Kerala & the presiding deity is the protector God of the city. The presiding deity of the temple is Lord Shiva, considered to be Swoyambhu (Self manifested) Lingam. There is a small area behind the... More

Worth visiting and enjoying the surrounding and peace. Most famous temple in Cochin. The disciple can worship Lord Shiva. As in many other temples, photography is not allowed.

The temple is located at the heart of Ernakulum city near Park Avenue. Temple is built in traditional Kerala Architecture and must visit if you are in this part of city on a religious visit. Do check the temple entry timings before you schedule a visit.

This is religious place of worship for Hindus and the entry is prohibited for others. Unlike traditional Hindu temples here You can wear trousers though most of the devotees prefer dhothi. The visit to the temple will be enchanting for the practicing Hindus . We cannot say this is tourist attraction rather this is a place of worship

I looked before attending at 12 noon if there were visiting times and saw only times to worship if you are Hindu. I arrived and there were a few people about but not many and no one said anything to me. I took my shoes off... More
