It's a great lung space in middle of the city. The flora is diverse and many exotic tree specimens. The cacti museum is particularly good.

I am surprised to see this being called a Botanical Garden? Paths for people take precedence over space for trees and plants. This is just a park at best. The paths are not even laid out properly to actually let one explore the zones. The designated zones such as Japanese garden and Topiary garden have minus effort put into them. Very disappointed. Saw some gorgeous old trees, but also felt sad that they have not been properly labelled. The exotic varieties remain hidden or obscured. For reals, the state government can do a LOT more with the space to make it an actual Botanical garden than a park. If you are just looking for a park, to maybe hang out in with friends/family - this is great for that with thoughtfully laid out benches. Entry ticket - 25 INR…

Do not enter bushy areas, I found snakes, apart from this is an excellent place, to enjoy nature, it is not just a botanical garden, it is a royal garden.
