Cool, Calm, Chill
Easy to reach there. It's a big garden with lots of trees from different countries. The glass house is very interesting and the flowers were well planned. Even the rock is there. Go there and relax. Electric vehicles are also provided to visit all locations inside.

Lalbagh Botanical Garden - Flower Show
Lalbagh Botanical Garden is an botanical garden in Bangalore, India, with an over 200-year history. Lalbagh is a 240 acres garden. It has a lake , lotus ponds ,rose garden, park and a glass house. From Flower show point of view , the glass house is the best part otherwise there is not much to enjoy as such. Plays and music events take place during the evening in local language. The campus is huge. Lot of walking which is a healthy activity in today's world. Management need to focus more on the landscaping and beautification of the campus . There are lots of start ups who put up shops here selling plants , flowers , gardening/landscaping services , bonsai plant etc. I found one startup selling bottled water having high alkaline value and Vitamin B12 ,Brand Name is "Fusion Mont Cool"

Peaceful park
Peaceful spot in the middle of Bangalore. Grounds start in dry out but lake still impressive. Unfortunately missed flower show in glass house but bamboo elephants a major part of the exhibit still present.

Very Beautiful Botanical Garden
Lalbagh Botonical Garden very easy to reach. It's a big garden with lots of trees and lush green field. from different countries. The glass house is very interesting and the flowers were well planned. Even the rock is there. We sat there for an hour and it really relaxing

Lalbagh gardens
Lalbagh garden is definitely one of the top highlights while visiting Bangalore. You can access it by metro train. The entry ticket for the gardens is Rs 30 for adult. The gardens are huge and has a great collection of old trees and flowering plants. To add to the beauty is a lake. While a board says that eating is not allowed within the park- but there are a few kiosks selling bhel puri and fruit chat. Since the govt is charging tickets, one expects it to be better maintained especially the grass is growing wildly. Keep an hour aside for walking around. It’s better to come here around 4 pm when it’s cooler. There are lots of benches for sitting around.

An early morning workout in the beautiful greens of lalbagh

We recently visited lalbagh in the early morning at around 6:15 am on a Sunday. The place has an entry fee if you visit the place after 9:00 am , however, there is no fee collected in the morning just to help all the walkers and joggers.
The lalbagh botanical garden has its own history. It has a lot of places inside that are tourist driven, say the lake, nursery and the glass house to name a few.
Also the place has a lot of lawn area as well that helps families do small picnics and teenagers to engage in workouts.
You'll find people playing badminton, doing yoga and more.
We were here too to do some exercise early in the morning.
The greens here give you so much of good vibes.
This is totally an ideal place to plan your next workout session.

Amazing gardens in the middle of the city

Great place to visit to either walk and see all of the plants, flowers and displays or just sit and picnic. Rs25 entry fee is very reasonable for the amount of space and things to see. You could spend hours walking the paths and checking everything out. I've been here several times and it's always great. Lots of walking so be prepared if you have young kids or someone with mobility issues.

Flower show

Visited on India's Republic day so it was quite busy. Paid 70 rupees each entrance fee.
Had a guided walk so was interesting.
There were dance and song items at the bandstand. Many stalls selling various items including snacks.

The main flower display was covered and obscured from view, which was strange and very unnecessary as we had paid to see the display! Large group of people queuing to enter the covered area, so we chose not to queue as it would have taken too long to get inside. Disappointing.

But the park itself is beautiful and very well kept

Stupendous flower display in january

This is a fantastic park any time of year but during the flower festival, the garden becomes truly spectacular. The displays are huge, varied, and very creative, requiring highly skilled artisans to create them. Recommended any time of year but especially in January. We went on Sunday and even then were not wedged in like sardines, though the green house was full of people. The rest of the park is so large that it didn’t feel crowded at all.

A pleasant oasis in the city

I was pleasantly surprised by this place. For just 25rupees it provided a much needed tranquil escape from the bustle of Bangalore. The highlight for me was the huge lake in the middle with a waterfall that gets turned on every hour.
There is a nice little Hindu temple opposite the east entrance too.

Calm quiet place in a very busy city

A very large park with long wide paved trails for walking. Obviously well planned and looked after, with some work in progress that is inevitable in gardening. Very large established trees and grassy areas as well, attracts some birds. Good signage. Easy to get to from the main city centre but provides a quiet calm environment. Some amazing carvings near the entrance made from huge old trees that had died and been repurposed. Washrooms are what you should expect in the area so be prepared - expect to pay a very small amount and provide your own tissue. As Caucasian women we were very frequently approached by Indian citizens who wanted a photo with us, it's apparently a highly desired thing according to an Internet search. Everyone who approached us was very polite and grateful, just be aware of your personal belongings as you should always when traveling.

Beautiful Place In Bangalore..

The Lalbagh garden of Banglore is a very large botanical garden situiated in mid-city. There are local buses that take us to the location. Very ancient trees and herbs are planted and we can get a very valuable information.

The most beautiful piece of work is the HMT cloack that is held ta the entrance. A nominal fee is charged but the place is worth visiting.
Highly recommended!

Relaxing stroll through Lalbagh Garden

Lalbagh Garden is not huge, but it is big enough to get away from the noise of the Bangalore traffic. There are some beautiful trees and flowers, and the park is well maintained. You can see one of the outposts that marked the original boundary of the city, and there are sculptures and information about what is growing. We only had one whole day to explore Bangalore, and I'm glad we took the time to stop at Lalbagh.

Lung of the City

Visited this place in February, 2020. It is very spacious and walking on foot through the length and breadth of the garden is not enjoyable particularly on a sultry day. There runs golf carts for a price of RS. 100/- pp + RS. 10 for the driver who doubles up as a guide too. A big granite hillock is also there. There is one glass house where periodical flower show is organised. The Bagh contains many trees which are gigantic in size and are centuries old. In one corner there is one Japanese bonsai garden. A very big clock is also installed in the park by HMT. Visitors can purchase plants of flowers and fruits from the co- operative nursery situated at the entrance, price is very reasonable. Entry to Lalbagh is free.

Charming for walking and escaping the city street

This is a large & lovely garden that offers a respite from the traffic in Bangalore. During your stroll there you will have a glimpse into the past as well as the present (Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs???). We visited as part of a tour so did not pay entry fee and were directed to some of the most notable aspects of the gardens.
