one needs to climb 280 steps to visit temple, from top you get 360 view of Srinagar city , you will find Lord Shiva temple at top

nice view of kashmir from here, 284 stairs jai mata di lovely.really safe .i recommend once in ur life visit kashmir n stay once in batra u vl get love n professionalism really nice worth........

At first when you approach and started towards mandir , you got exhausted as it has numerous stairs , mandir is placed at height so you have to maintain pace. Feels so good after darshan and you will get a great view from top.

the temple can be reached by climbing 250 steps from the bottom, it would be tough for old people to climb.

I would say September to December is good . Things are bad now . Avoid till curfews are lifted . For transport you have to hire a car depending on the number of people you are on a daily basis . It costs around 2000 a day... More

Just came back from the City. It is absolutely not safe right now. I would say not this year atleast. City has been under curfew from last 80 days and nothing is operating at all.
is there any dress code to visit temple?

Dress code is not there. But security check is there at the entrance by Army. No need to worry about it. But be aware from Pujari..He seems to greedy to me. He immediately remove the small bucks from thali to show other... More
